Interaction with guests
We are a contemplative, green living household of musicians, up most mornings for yoga & meditation practice, river swims or gardening & like to grill and hang on the garden patio in the afternoons & evenings for bird songs, music making & socializing. We thank you for respecting our land and home and for treating it with loving care! We are friendly and approachable, yet do enjoy our privacy. Please feel free to ask about local activities that are happening during your stay; Lyons is home to world-class river culture, cuisine, music, art & more!
Other things to note
Street parking is FREE & an easeful 1/2 block stroll to the house (NO PARKING in the DRIVEWAY, our gardens abut this space); loading/unloading is easeful from the alley.
No tobacco smoking/use or pets on property, no MMJ smoking (including vaporizers) in the house (we have allergies). Loading & unloading your vehicle is easeful from the alley (do not pull into driveway, our gardens are delicate & abut this space).
Thank you for closing doors immediately behind you (to prevent mice & other critters from entering). Kindly strip the beds and put all linens and towels in a pile on the laundry room floor prior to departure/check-out. If you've tracked in mud, snow or an inordinate amount of dirt, take a few minutes to sweep the floor too. Recycling (glass, plastic, aluminum, cardboard, steel cans, etc...) goes in the metal bin located in the garage (labeled), next to the exit door. Compost (food scraps, toilet paper & tissue) can be left in the bathroom can. Please dump all liquids in the UTILITY sink, located in the laundry room, NOT in the bathroom sink or shower drains. We thank you in advance for being kind, respectful & courteous Humans!
