Enjoy peace and quiet in this private two bedroom, two bath retreat! Only a half mile to the historic Taos Plaza, you can enjoy tranquility, yet have convenient access to restaurants, galleries, museums, and shops and all that Taos has to offer.

The space

Tastefully furnished, this cozy space offers a full kitchen, a light-filled living room, and a covered porch. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed with down comforters and high thread count sheets. The main bathroom has a shower and small tub. The second bathroom, which has a shower, is located in the second bedroom. Egyptian cotton bath towels are provided. A love seat in the entryway, next to the kitchen, can be pulled out into a twin sized bed. The living room has windows on three sides and looks out onto a small garden area. There is Cable TV and a DVD player, with a small selection of DVD's available for viewing. There is no carpeting, just travertine marble tiles throughout.

Although it is attached to the main house, this is a completely private space with separate entrance.

Come, relax and enjoy yourself in beautiful, historic Taos! A few rules are: no smoking inside of the house. No pets are allowed. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am--this means no loud music or excessive noise between these hours. This is a shoe-free home. Simple house slippers will be provided for your stay.



Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.

This is truly a hidden jewel! The Blue Heron is spacious, comfortable, well appointed, and secluded, yet ideally located for exploring Taos. A perfect "artists' retreat"! Thanks, Catherine, for a truly wonderful experience!

Catherine's place is wonderful. Roomy, comfortable and nicely furnished. The location is an easy 15 minute walk to the Plaza. Communication with Catherine was easy and efficient. All the comforts of home and highly recommended!
