The space

Built in late 1.700 and totally renewed, "Casa Lanciotto" is fully furnished with antiques.
The house has 5 very comfortable bedrooms (3 doubles, 1 single and 1 twins) , a large living room with fireplace, kitchen with balcony, family bathroom with bathtub and two more bathrooms with shower.
The house enjoys the exclusive use of a terrace for special ‘al fresco’ dining.

"Casa Lanciotto" is located in the south-facing part of "Casanova", a delightfully small and quiet country hamlet. It is the perfect location for a few days of relaxation as well as an excellent base for exploring the region. Tuscany’s main picturesque towns are within easy reach: San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, Florence and Siena are all no more than 40 miles away. The village is only 30 miles from a variegated coastline of sandy beaches and rocky coves.

"Casanova" lies on the “Strada del Vino”, a route linking the main wine producing farms and cellars of “Alta Valdera”, an area known for its excellent wines set in the Colline Pisane.

Our guests can purchase daily organic products such as milk, cheese, vegetables, bread, honey and pasta produced locally by the “Azienda agricola Casanova”, just a stone’s throw from the houses.

Minimun stay from june to september : 1 week

Other things to note

"Casa Lanciotto" shares the swimming-pool with 3 other houses of "Borgo Fajani".

A part of the garden with sunbeds is dedicated only to Casa Lanciotto.

When we first arrived we were quite disappointed to find that the house was across a lane from the pool and the terrace which we shared with the other houses (although we did have our own section of the terrace). We mistakenly assumed from the photos and description that we had a house right next to the terrace and pool. We did raise this with Alfredo and he was very good in his response and did whatever he could to make us feel comfortable. In the end this really didn't matter and we had a wonderful time. Alfredo took the time and explained the history of the place (which is worth hearing) and showed us around the old cellars under the hill in the middle of Casanova. He was a great host.

Alfredo was the perfect host and his family hamlet is charming, what a great place to stay and enjoy the Tuscan countryside. The huge kitchen, available bikes and patio were thoroughly enjoyed.

Alfredo, the host, was very flexible regarding our arrival time. He welcomed us personally and showed us the house (including a welcome package). The house is in a very nice and quiet part of the Tuscany region. All major Tuscany tourist attractions can be reached within max. 1.5hrs by car. The house is a typical (very nice) Tuscany farmhouse with beautiful views (especially from the balcony and the top-floor bedroom). The internet works very smooth. Overall, a very satisfactory stay.

Alfredo is verry nice and caring host. His useful hints about the services and interesting places and things to do helped us a lot. Location itself has a true small village atmoshere - friendly neighbourhood. We recommend this area and houses to everybody who want to experience real Tuscan countryside, enjoy good food and wine and just relax.
