To enrich your stay: a piano, ethernet, WiFi, Bose Wave Radio, yoga mat, and "The Starlight Inn" —small screen tent to lie down in for gazing at the sky.
A fully equipped kitchen and dining area upstairs can be made available upon request. Washer and dryer, too.
Out the back door—hiking, biking, birding, wildlife, fishing; paddling outfitter and sky diving near by.
THE LOCAL AREA
Host may be available to offer recommendations for restaurants and nearby activities. There is a Guidebook in your bedroom.
Local Attractions: Bring your road bike or mountain bike, there are lightly trafficked country roads, and many mountain bike trails a short ride or drive away, including the nearby Nashua River Rail Trail.
A marked path behind the cabin leads to the Jeff Smith Trail, a 7-mile trail going up into New Hampshire.
Nearby is Heald Pond, good for swimming, fishing, and kayaking.
There is so much to enjoy around here!
The door around back—on the forest level, provides access to your space and to your deck overlooking the forest. Feel free to use the front porch or any of the other outdoor areas.
The rest of the house is private.
Interaction with guests

Other things to note
No smoking inside. Pick up fully extinguished butts if you smoke outside and dispose of them in a closed container.
Inquire about bringing your pet. Rules and fees applied.
During Summer and Fall, there are mosquitoes at dusk and in the morning. You'll find STRONG bug repellent on the benches outside to use cautiously, or bring your own.
During the Winter, we often get a lot of snow. You will need 4-wheel or front wheel to get up the hill to the house and to get in and out of the driveway. Though we get plowed, plowing doesn't happen until after the snow has stopped. You'll want to bring boots and cold weather clothing that are good in ice and snow.
We are in the woods, and it is dark. The stars really pop. There is very little light pollution. Because it is so dark, be prepared with a flashlight or cellphone light to get from the driveway to the entry door.
Thank you for staying at the Tree House, my log cabin in the woods.
Your suite is private, with its own egress; your hosts live upstairs though you'll rarely see us. Best way to contact us is by text.
Please drive slowly up the gravel road leading to the cabin. Children, wildlife, and my neighbors will love you for it.
No flames or fires permitted. Smoking outside only. Dispose of butts in a closed container. Glass jars with lids are in the suite cupboard.
Small gatherings of family and friends are usually ok; please ask.
Need to do laundry? Washer and dryer on the premises.
Trash and Recycling: Please put all food wastes in the compost container and recyclables in the recycling box.
TV and Movies: There's Ethernet and wi-fi so you can stream shows to your laptop. There are a several movie theaters within driving distance.
Heating: Zoned heating is controlled by a thermostat in your bedroom and the adjacent living area.
Cooling: Your suite stays cool, yet, if it is humid, you may like to de-humidfy or cool. Please ask for instructions.
Groceries and Eating: The nearest grocery store is Hanafords, 8 Main St, Townsend, MA 01469, a five minute drive. There are farm stands and restaurants within driving distance.
Misc. Entertainment: Town of Ayer has the best Billiards, snooker too. Nice main street with all kinds of restaurants. West Acton and Concord for live music. Pepperell, Townsend and Groton for grub.

My life motto is: "Live happily, you're worth it." I've happily hiked, biked, and zipped by train around our astounding planet. My own back yard brings me a lot of pleasure too. Dancing, drawing, writing, and cultivating contentment are things I like to do.
