You'll enjoy all that is wonderful about New Orleans in this one-bedroom gem. Located within walking distance to a number of the top restaurants in the city with street parking right outside your door, you won't be disappointed.

The space

This one bedroom, one bath unit is complete with a full kitchen - including a gas range, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and granite countertops. It is in the heart of Uptown New Orleans, one block from Magazine Street. It is within walking distance of two grocery stores (Rouse's and Whole Foods), and some of the city's top restaurants (Shaya, La Petite Grocery, etc.). The place has been restored with heart pine floors, antique cypress doors and central a/c and heat. The house is environmentally-friendly with foam insulation, solar hot water and photovoltaic solar panels. The property is also crammed with fruit trees - lime, satsuma, blueberries, and fig. As we have young children, we can help you out with a portable crib and other kid paraphernalia. Check out my other listing on the same property if you are looking to rent a couple of spaces to accommodate a larger group.

Guest access

You'll have access to the apartment and the front steps. We have a playset in the yard, and if you have children, they are welcome to use the playset. Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out is 10 a.m. There is keycode entry, so you can check in as late as you need.

Interaction with guests

This apartment is part of our house, so we are available and accessible whenever you need. We're also happy to leave you completely to yourselves.

Other things to note

We do have young children and try to be respectful, but you may hear the pitter patter of small feet during your stay.

Jacob's place was fantastic! We have stayed in New Orleans many times and this place was one of the best! Great location, clean, and easy to get to and from. We will definitely be back for another stay when we are in the city next time!

Super clean and wonderfully appointed. This was a perfect location for us. Lovely places to eat just around the corner, easy access to the river and zoo, and nice drive to the French Quarter. Wonderful neighborhood. Convenient parking. Quiet and safe. We are already recommending out to our children for a visit.

Jacob's place was perfect for exploring the Magazine Street area! So many spots within walking distance, even Audubon Park, particularly after a breakfast at Surrey's Cafe Uptown. Jacob's recommendations were spot on! I believe if we had stayed a couple more nights we would have hit them all! Finally, the property itself was great. Someone did a really good job in updating the property without losing the charm of the apartment. The old pine floors were beautiful!

Place is all it is spelled out to be. Jacob and Courtney are very nice, helpful and respond to needs promptly. Location of place makes every spot on Magazine St. and surrounding area very walk able. The home is outfitted with all the amenities one needs in order to reside there comfortably. Will definitely check to see if this place is available next time we visit NOLA!

This apartment is immaculate, beautifully renovated, and even nicer than the pictures. Nice architectural details, and a perfect location for walking to everything in Uptown. Jacob and his family were very responsive and check in with the key pad was a breeze. We are familiar with the area and didn't need suggestions, but there is a nice listing with suggestions for eating and exploring. Walk to Magazine shops and restaurants, plus major groceries. The apartment was very well equipped, including an iron and ironing board, extra towels, etc. Loved the new bedding and memory foam mattress. Thanks for a nice weekend stay!
