Awesome place to stay. This is my 4th visit and every time I go I see something different. Peaceful, relaxing natural location with lots of native wildlife. I recommend spending some time swinging in the hammock at night to gaze up at the stars. An awesome host who is very welcoming and you are only a 15 minute drive from the nearest town. Give this place a go...you wont be disappointed!

This place is just wonderful - a real treasure. It is a beautiful property nestled amongst a eucalyptus forest where we saw lots of kangaroos, a large variety of birds and were able to get up close to 3 beautiful Clydesdale horses on a daily basis. Lynne was an excellent host - very friendly and kind and respectful of our privacy at all times. Lynne provided everything we needed for a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stay. The cottage is very warm and inviting and there was enough space for our family of four to fit in comfortably. We went in the midst of winter and it was just beautiful there at all times of day, especially in the early morning when the sun would filter through the trees and at night time when the sky was clear. The stars and the milky way were so clear in the sky, it was just amazing. There is plenty of space provided around the cottage and the stables to relax or play - all of which is maintained to a very high standard. We will definitely be back in the future to stay and to use the outdoor fireplace! Just lovely!

Response from Lynne:
Thank you so very much for such a complimentary review. It is so special to hear that you enjoyed your stay even though it was a bit rushed. Next time your children will be both walking and be able to run around together while you are relaxing by the fire. Thank you for choosing to stay here and hopefully I will have the pleasure of meeting you all again sometime in the future.

We stayed in the Settlers Ranch for three nights. It’s a clever blend of western style with modern touches. There is a great kitchen, porch and separate bbq/bar area with an outdoor fireplace. There is also a lovely outdoor shower (if you prefer it). Lynne is a wonderful host who is easygoing and makes you feel very welcome but values your privacy to strike a great balance. Her pooch Rosie is lovely and stops by every now and then to say hi and for a pat. There are also three beautiful horses so if you love horses or would like to meet some then this is the place for you. We highly recommend this stay to anyone from Australia or overseas seeking to experience the real bush at its best. The birds are numerous and kangaroos are often hanging around in the distance. Many thanks again to Lynne for creating this beautiful property, your hospitality and the genuine Aussie experience. It was a real pleasure.

A quiet, relaxing, peaceful, and well-appointed place. Great effort made to accommodate really shows. The collection of items that provide both function and display is terrific. The abundance of furniture used to make the place feel the way it did was amazing. No 'Ikea' to be seen! Perfect place to bring a pet. Welcome brownies were spot on! :)

Lynne was an absolute legend of a host and prepared our accommodations last minute as we booked spur of the moment when wanderlust hit and we went on an adventure. The space itself is an incredible getaway. Very quiet and perfect for some rest and relaxation and getting away from the daily grind. Highly recommended from one married couple to the next. :D

Response from Lynne:
It was lovely to see Damien care about his wife as much as he does and organize this time away for Kaye. Thank you Damien and Kaye for enjoying your stay and I hope to see you sometime during the winter to cook on the wood stove. It was a pleasure meeting you both.

I am an Australian who has always had the love of horses and station life running through my blood. I have brought this property to life incorporating my life on stations as a Jillaroo and Station Cook and my love of the Australian bush and the Clydesdale horse breed. Take a look at the collection of horse harness, impliments and old wares that I have used in the past with my mustering horses and Clydesdales.

I would like you to escape your busy life and listen to the sounds of the bush, watch the light through the trees as the sun rises and sets and cook yourself a meal on the potbelly BBQ or on the wood stove.

If you are looking for quiet and privacy, then this is for you. For your own little place in the bush--this is-- 'A Little Bit of the West on the East Coast.'
