Welcome to my beautiful Bungalow, by Bungalow Potter. I'm a local potter here in Nashville, and welcoming folks into my home is one of my favorite things to do. If you like pottery, cute pets, muffins, and hugs, then this is the place for you. We have all of those things, all the time.
The home is a cozy, 1928 brick craftsman bungalow with modern, craftsman furnishings. This listing includes second floor private bedroom with an attached full bath in the quiet and quaint Inglewood area.
WORK FROM HOME
I work during the day as a stay-at-home-pet parent apparently, but honestly do work from home as a graphic design during the day as well. Both my design jobs in branding and pottery are from home, so I'm able to take great care of my guests at all times, with as little or much interaction and privacy as needed.
I'm an avid pet rescuer and advocate. I have three former rescue kitties and a failed cat-friendly husky foster. They are adorable, super sweet, and quite possible the best behaved pets you will ever meet. I'd argue I'm a pet behavioralist. The pets aren't allowed in your room, and are shut off from the upstairs. Occasionally, the tabby will attempt to break in, so simply keep the door shut.
I work really hard to take care of my guests––you'll notice I'm a SuperHost. I'm super proud to be, and I enjoy taking care of great guests. I'm lucky to always seem to get such incredibly friendly guests with awesome stories and great personalities. I love everyone, and welcome anyone regardless of their faith values, heritage, or orientation to come stay at my home. My pets also love everyone.
I look forward to welcoming my guests and helping them with anything they need while visiting Nashville. I certainly respect their privacy and we will be here if they need but I also realize they are here to enjoy their time in Music City! We are in bed early and we do ask for their consideration if you come in late.
Each room is designed and curated to be its own cozy space, full of personality, comfort, and beautiful details to be enjoyed. The house may look small, but wraps around the back, with several entries, an extended upstairs / raised roof, and a back entry that doubles as a great guest room.
As a graphic designer and potter, I create much of the spaces to be functional, beautiful and well-crafted for their purpose. My dishes, my art, my linens and bedding all are hand made, picked, or put together to be beautiful and functional.
Every one of my guest rooms in my home as a color. Inspired by pink flowers and the wooded nature of my Chinese bushes and Japanese Maple in my side flower bed, this room features a twin bed on a historic 1800's wooden bed frame, some beautiful hand-selected watercolor feather artwork, a large, brightly lit, window-side desk, and some great decor details in every corner.
A stack of white, fluffy towels are on stand-by for guests in the yellow room, spare blankets and an abundance of pillows to ensure you feel super snuggly.
In the morning, you can come downstairs and enjoy coffee from one handmade ceramic mugs, and enjoy the space of someone who cares about all the details that make a great personal experience.
Coffee (Keurig) and filtered water are always available. The timer is automatically set to turn on in the morning; power button is on the back, lower right corner.
PLEASE NOTE: if K cups are not out, there is coffee available. Please place the reusable K cup into the slot correctly, as to not puncture it.
TOWELS + BASIC TOILETRIES
A stack of fresh, fluffy towels are available in your room for you. If you need more, or go through them, please let me know. Please consider using your towel over for as much of your stay as possible, to help conserve water usage.
I currently do not provide soap nor shampoo for my guests, as I've found that personal shower products are incredibly personal, and also have so many different ingredients that may or may not affect others. I encourage you to bring your own, or you're more than welcome to simply wait upon arrival to get some.
There is a Walgreens around the corner open until 10pm and a 24-7 Kroger (grocery store) so you can purchase any last minute items there.
There's some room temperature water in a Brita pitcher on top of the fridge as well as cold water in a pitcher in the fridge. Please be sure to refill the coffee maker and pitcher as you drink for you future use and other's convenience
The patio is available to for guests to sit and enjoy; if not out, cushions are kept in the brown plastic chest, please place back when done.
Both restrooms are technically shared, so please be considerate. Even if it is just yourself at the time of check, please be sure to keep the bathroom picked up, as someone may check into another room, and the presentation of the bathroom is also important for their experience too.
There are two bathrooms, please use the one on the floor of your room (upstairs).
Interaction with guests
I work from home, so I'm available often for questions, care, and area information.
I am a graphic designer and local potter. So, you can expect to know I'm up late at night throwing pottery in the basement, walking the dog outside in the morning, and working from the home office during the day.
I love to meet new friends, so you're always welcome to strike up a conversation if it's clear I'm not working.
Other things to note

If you break it, buy it. Open it, close it. Get it wet, dry it off. If you make a mess, clean it up. This applies for bedding, sheets, stains, and so on and so forth too. As a host I hope I won't have to ask you to replace items but sometimes accidents happen.
I reserve the right to add a money request via AirBNB's resolution center for items missing, broken, stained, or otherwise requiring new purchase or extra care beyond normal cleaning.
As a host, neither I nor AirBNB am responsible for items left, lost, or otherwise forgotten.
I'm a graphic designer and potter. My home is my workspace, so it's important for it to be inspired and creative, as well as clean! I'm always working on my home, baking, gardening outside or throwing pots in the basement pottery studio.
I've lived in Nashville for 11 years, and know all the great places to go—and love my community, neighborhood and city.
I have three fantastic kitties and a sweet pup. My pets are so incredibly sweet and loving. They'll melt your heart and become your sweet friends while you stay. We love inviting folks into our home and hosting great Nashville experiences. I treat everyone like they're an out-of-town family friend that's popping through.
I'm the owner of Bungalow Potter, an online pottery shop and basement pottery studio. I make dinnerware, bakeware, serveware, and tile. Your rooms are named as such as you're staying at Bungalow Potter's! You'll be drinking out of mugs I've made and be surrounded by other pieces while you enjoy my warm, cozy, eclectic home.
