About this listing

You'll be in a sunny guest room in a cozy, older house. In Seward you'll be close to the West Bank of the U, the Mississippi, and parks and museums all while staying in a quiet neighborhood. You can basically walk to US Bank Stadium and TCF Field. There's bus access to both downtowns, shopping, and entertainment. There are bikes to borrow and 3 different bike paths within blocks. It's a great spot and I love having guests share my home.

The space

The house was built in 1941 and is in an interesting neighborhood surrounded by identical houses. It's a friendly, quiet neighborhood to stay. It definitely is an older home with some quirks, but it's cozy and lovely.

Guest access

Feel free to use the kitchen or watch some TV in the basement. The grill in the backyard is also good to use! If you need to store a bike while visiting it can get stored in the garage.

Interaction with guests

I work a couple different jobs and also am a performer in the Twin Cities so I'm not around too much. When I am around I love steering people in the direction of something fun or delicious.

The neighbourhood

Walking distance to multiple bus lines and close to the light rail. Only 6 blocks to the Mississippi River where you can walk, run, or bike. You'll be close to the University of Minnesota, museum, parks, shopping and restaurants.
There are a couple of good restaurants (Birchwood, Cafe Racer Kitchen) within walking distance. For the most part the neighborhood is pretty quiet and residential, but a five minute bike ride will take you to anything you'd need.

Getting around

If you're coming with a car, there's plenty of street parking. If not, there are 3 bus routes close by and the lightrail is a quick connection away.
There are two bikes available for guests! The city is exceptionally bike friendly and the greenway is just two blocks away.

Other things to note

The shower turns on by pulling down from the faucet. Don't move the shower head or else the whole bathroom will get wet. :)

My best friend and I stayed here just one night but had a wonderful time. We spent the afternoon and early evening riding Liv's bikes over and along the Mississippi river. Her kitties, Zasha and Anya were such cuddlers and her home was cute, clean and comfortable. Thank you, thank you, Liv!

Liv's house is in a quiet neighborhood close to lots of local restaurants and cafes. There's a walking trail nearby and she offers her bikes for you to use to explore the area! Her kitties are very friendly and love attention and we felt very comfortable staying in Liv & the kitties' house!

Liv's place was perfect for a little place to crash while I stayed in MSP for two days. The free bike I could use was perfect, and the cats were so friendly!

Liv's space is pleasant and conveniently located in Seward, a pleasant neighborhood in south Minneapolis. It is near a bike path that connects to others and very close to the bus if you want to leave your car and explore the city that way. Lots of good restaurants within biking or walking distance too. I have many friends and family members who live in Minneapolis and my partner and I will return to Liv's house if it is available for our next visit. Very friendly and cuddly cats too!

I'm a big Disney fan. I love doing Disney running events because it gives me an excuse to visit Disneyland or Disney World as well as do a distance run. I work from home as a writer and consultant and also do comedy and acts. I enjoy doing CrossFit, cooking, and museums.
