Enjoy relaxed country living in your choice of two private rooms on the second floor of our spacious, single-family Colonial. Private hall bath. Access to private yard, deck, screened porch, and outdoor cedar hot tub, piano. Full breakfast included!
There’s plenty of space to unwind in the family room, living room, or basement rec room. Play the baby grand piano, read by the fire or pellet stove, play a game, watch a movie, or soak in the hot tub or bathtub. In warmer months, guests love to sit on the screened-in back porch and watch the hummingbirds. Enjoy the flowers and produce from our perennial and organic vegetable and herb gardens and berry bushes.
We live and work here, but are happy to share the downstairs living spaces, deck and yard, washer-dryer, iron and ironing board. You can always help yourself to coffee and tea. Limited access to kitchen--it's fine to warm something up, make a salad, or use the outdoor grill, but no elaborate meal preparations. And let's communicate to coordinate schedules so we aren't bumping into each other.
Interaction with guests
We let our guests take the lead in how much interaction they want to have. We are available and attentive to our guest needs, and friendly without being too intrusive or overly chatty.
Other things to note
Start your day with a hearty breakfast. We are happy to accommodate special diets (we mainly eat gluten-free, dairy-free.) In addition to coffee, tea, and juice, breakfast may include:
Eggs, muffins or scones, fresh fruit
Homemade granola with yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins or scones
Organic Irish Oats or oat bran with all the fixings: dried fruits, nuts, flaxseed
Pancakes with homemade applesauce and maple syrup
Smoothie with fruit, almond or coconut milk, protein powder, spinach (optional)
To add to your relaxation, add an hour Reiki session for $75.
We are not equipped or safe for children under 5.
We turn in early, so we appreciate quiet after 10 p.m.
I’ve been running my own business, Balance with Grace, since 2000. As a Professional Certified Coach, Reiki Master Teacher, and author of Balance with Grace: Celebrate the Kaleidoscope of Life, my work is all about helping busy people move from striving to thriving.
I have many interests and passions including yoga, reading, organic gardening, healthy gourmet cooking, piano, meditation, and fitness. As fairly new empty-nesters, my husband Bill (who owns his own technical recruiting company) are also eagerly planning our next travel adventure. We are both outdoor enthusiasts. Bill is an avid mountain biker and knows all the local trails, especially those in nearby Harold Parker State Forest. We have hosted three international exchange students and enjoy sharing our home with others.
