Over the past three years, we have hosted many, many happy guests at this home, and I feel this review is extremely unfair. Please take time to check my other reviews before believing this one. Read on if you want to understand what happened from our point of view.
Bottom line up front: these folks received a full refund. We want our guests to be happy and comfortable.
I admit: My cleaning service did not deliver, but I keep co-hosts, maintainers, contractors, and lawn service on call to resolve any issues my guests encounter.
The floor is wood, not plywood, but I did install a raised area in the laundry room to prevent vibration on the older floor. The window panes have been replaced multiple times as needed. The decking has recently been replaced. The neighborhood often has children playing on the sidewalks, joggers, and we see houses being renovated at a rapid pace. The building down the street (which does look abandoned) has recently been purchased by a resort company and they are turning it into a spa! I encourage you to explore it on a mapping service street view and see for yourself.
I spoke with Dan on the phone immediately after he arrived, but he was not open to any resolution. He and his wife had just had an infant and had another one on the way. Being a father, I understand the stress of first-time parenting, but I feel like this couple took it out on my listing in an unfair way. Still, I have taken their feedback into account.
