Lovely View bedroom with queen bed and den sun room located within a home and beautiful garden. Quiet, clean, private and bright, this apartment provides comfort, beauty and peace. Self contained, off street parking, second bed for the den available on request. Walking neighborhood, quick access to buses and businesses. If needed, I can set up a single bed in the den if you prefer to not share a bed. There is a single $35 set up for the second bed.

Welcome to your home! We are happy to share with you, our guests, the natural beauty and serenity of this special place, a sweet spot of quiet repose and enjoyment; gentle respite from busy lives, a place for connections, with each other and with the natural beauty of Whidbey Island, Useless Bay and Sunlight Beach. In choosing Sunlight SeaScape, we expect that you, our guests are seeking the same type of environment for yourself, and will take care of our home, the property and neighborhood respectfully.
A Special Note for Groups: If you are reserving for a group, be certain you know everyone, each individual, well enough to know that they, too, will support you in supporting our intentions. If so, we are happy to accommodate you! Remember, when you sign the House Guidelines you are signing responsibility for everyone in your group.
Guest limit: 13 people comfortably with normal use of water, septic and electricity.
Only reserved guests are allowed on the property without an appointment or the written consent of the owner, Joy Abbey-Adams, or her representative.
For the enjoyment of guests and in respect for the neighbors, we do not accommodate events.
Traffic and parking, neighborhood: Be aware that Barnacle Lane is a child- and pet-friendly street in a lovely neighborhood where traffic is minimal, vehicle speed is slow and noise is contained on the property.
Parking: Sunlight SeaScape property accommodates up to seven (7) vehicles on the gravel driveway. Parking close to hedges and buildings allows cars to pass through the circular driveway.
Do not block the neighbors’ driveways or accesses.
Up to two oversized vehicles can sometimes be accommodated off Barnacle, just north of the mailbox. Do not park on grass.
Noise curfew: Between 10:00pm and 8:00am, please use quiet voices outside and keep music inside at low volume.
Our neighbors are early to bed. This is not a party house.
No Smoking inside any of the buildings. Smoking is permitted at a minimum of 15 feet from any building, up wind so no smoke gets inside.
Pets Considered: Please ask with information regarding your pet. If permission is given, please plan to pay a pet fee for additional cleaning for scent and hair removal.
Private Beach Access: There is a walking path to our private beach. It is for our guest use only.
Use of towels, bedding, kitchen and bath furnishings: Used appropriately, left on the premises in original condition. Spills and makeup removal: Use paper towels or tissues. Do not use towels or bedding outside.
Septic system: toilet paper only into toilets. No food scraps in kitchen sinks.
Recycle: one separate receptacle is provided for mixed Glass, Paper, Plastic and Metal.
Umbrellas: If you put them up, tie them to the railing. We are on Puget Sound; wind comes up suddenly and the umbrellas will blow away, break etc.! Bring them down every night and when the wind blows.
Departure: Unplug appliances, turn off heat and lights, close doors, windows closed in winter.
Enjoyment: Yes! Enjoy the views, amenities, beach and bay, garden, eagles and humming birds, and Whidbey’s friendly people! Thank you for choosing Sunlight SeaScape! I am so happy you are here!

This cottage is set in a lovely quiet residential neighborhood. The garden is charming and welcoming. Joy is a gracious warm and accommodating host. The room was perfectly comfortable for an extended stay and offered everything needed to assure daily requirements are met. The street offers parking spots as well as parking right outside the unit in a off street slot. Joys unit proved to be a perfect solution for a long term project at UW. This location is just great!

Neighborhood feel with easy access to shopping and dining. I walked to University Village easily. Unit has private bathroom and access. It is quaint and very vintage.
