Welcome to PARADISE!! Thank you for checking out my listing here on Oahu's North Shore. You'll LOVE the short walks (2 min) to the ocean to watch sunsets & turtles. Your private room features brand new real bamboo hardwood flooring, cedar lined headboard wall, and ample closet space. Waialua is a country town much different than the hustle an bustle of Waikiki and Honolulu. You'll wake up to the sounds of chickens, birds chirping, and peacefulness. Haleiwa is a short 5 minute drive away!

The space

Please read my entire listing including cancellation policy. Your Private room featuring bamboo hardwood floors, cedar lined headboard wall, Queen sized bed, closet, and more! Room dimensions are 11' x 10.5' not including closet and storage spaces.

Bathroom includes walk-in shower with marble walls, rain shower head, dual sink custom teak vanity, toilet, etc is shared with owner. You also have full access to kitchen and lanai (balcony) , also shared with owner, with ocean and mountain views. I do not have a shared living room space. Your room contains a TV with Netflix account already set up for guests. The beach is less than 5 minute walk away (across the street) for gorgeous sunsets and sunrises!

Washer and dryer in unit for guest usage!!

Max number of guests is 2. No children as guests. No pets as guests.

****NOTE: the kitchen area is currently being remodeled as of December 2017. Guests have shared access to full size refrigerator and freezer, induction cooktop, microwave, small oven, rice cooker, etc. From approximately 6-20 Dec 2017 guests will use paper plates as kitchen sink is being replaced. See photos for details and please message me for any questions***

You must pay these taxes upon arrival per Hawaii state law.

Check ins Monday - Friday are between 4:30PM and 9PM. Sunday between 9AM-9PM. No check-ins after 9PM on any days. Checkout on any day is by 10AM.

Guest access

Private bedroom, shared kitchen with owner, lanai (porch), shared bathroom, pool, and sauna.

If you are arriving in the evening please expect parking to be available but potentially not directly in front of my building.

Interaction with guests

I maintain a 7-3:30 work schedule during the week but I love sharing stories about Hawaii life and even showing guests around as my schedule permits.

Please maintain communication with me before your arrival. I always meet guests at my door when they arrive. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend that you buy a US SIM card or temporary phone at 7-11 if you are not from North America. WiFI does not exist on this island like it does in modern cities. If I cannot communicate with you then your trip could suffer due to miscommunication.

Please be respectful of my neighbors. Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am daily.

No drug use on my property. No children as guests. Max number of guests per night is 2. You must pay for double occupancy of the room if two people are staying.

No guests that have no paid to stay are allowed to stay overnight.

No smoking in my condo unit or in parking lot. Please go to public facing street next to building.

You must pay 13.75% tax upon arrival in cash. This is General Excise Tax and Transient Accomodation Tax. This is Hawaii state law. Airbnb does not yet collect taxes on behalf of hosts in Hawaii. The governor of Hawaii vetoed the propose change to the law in June 2016, so therefore Hawaii Airbnb hosts must collect this tax from guests themselves. If upon arrival you do not have tax payment funds available you will be asked to obtain the funds and return before being able to fully check in.

No parking in the building parking lot. It is for residents only 24-7, no exceptions. You cannot temporarily park there to unload bags or other items. Your car will be towed. Parking is free on the street in front of building. A 30 second walk from your car to my elevator.

If you do not disclose the true number of guests in your booking, upon arrival your stay will be cancelled and no refund issued. Please make your booking requests accurate at time of booking.

Must climb stairs - 13 stairs in my unit to get to bedroom/bathroom If elevator is not working outside you will have 5 floors to go up
Pet(s) live on property - I do not have pets but some neighbors have dogs if various breeds
No parking on property - Street parking is available out front of my building. Parking lot is for residents only. You WILL get towed if you park there.
Some spaces are shared - Bathroom Kitchen Lanai (porch) Living room
Amenity limitations - No breakfast is provided (I've been asked about this multiple times by various guests). Usage of items such as boogie boards is at your own risk.

Clay made us very welcome and provided us with extras to make use of. e.g the binoculars were great at the pipeline. We loved the nice modern shower and the bed was very comfortable. Many thanks!

Clay was a fantastic host. He communicated with me regularly before my trip getting me excited about hanging out with the turtles at sunset! The location was the best and just what I needed for a bit of quiet after a few days in Waikiki. The room was great and the bed so comfortable I slept 10 hours on my first night! The waterfall shower was awesome as was the balcony to have a coffee in the morning looking out to the ocean and have a couple of beers in the evening.

My husband and I were very happy with Clayton's accomdation. Clayton description was accurate. Clayton's location was great for us as we had a car. He suggested quite a few things for us to do, like sunsets, sugar factory and different beaches and let us know when he saw a turtle on his local beach! (Amazing!!) Clayton was working during the day time so we didn't see a huge amount of him. The pool was also an added bonus.

Clays place is a short walk to an amazing beach that is not crowded, and has everything! The bed and pillows are comfy, the shower is great. There is nowhere to stock up on supplies in the immediate area, but the town is about a 7 minute drive away. Clay was very communicative, and supplied all of the beach toys you could imagine.

Clay’s place is awesome. The renovations he has done are beautiful. Also many personal touches - keurig in the room, a bottle of water, sunscreen, snorkel gear to use, nightlights to get around the hall in the dark, laundry, etc. Very comfy and NICE! Clay is a great host! Absolutely top shelf!

Clay's place is nicely located close to the beach with nice views from the balcony. His place is just outside busy touristy town which gives you both quiet beach reachable on foot and busy town few miles away. There are also nice hikes and secluded beach few miles drive toward the north west coast. Clay is super responsive and helps with everything as also provides dozens of things for the beach. One amazing restaurant is less than 2miles away and it is called Paradise Fresh Food. You will also find farmers market on Saturday at Sugar Mill.

Clay was a great host and communication was super easy. I could even enter the appartment before the checkin time. The room is spacious and clean and comes with a lot of extras as snorkelling gear, body boards and a coffee machine. There are no restaurants or supermarket in the town itself but it is only a short drive to lovely Haleiwa and all the gresr beaches are nearby as well. Thank you!
