I was actually trying to be kind to Hugo in my previous review of him. I gave him a good discount, and yet he was the most unhappy guest I have ever hosted. He felt totally justified in turning my AC units off, even though I had other guests staying with me. My house had been shut up with no AC for 10 days, as I had evacuated for a hurricane. I made every effort to accommodate the needs of the numerous guests requests I had received, as there were no places to stay in Wilmington after the hurricane. Hugo behaved unlike any other guest I have had, I had tried numerous times to contact him prior to his arrival, to let him know where the key would be left, as I had to work. He finally got back to me just before I left for work, and at no time did he communicate his displeasure with anything, until I informed him that we would have to have a serious talk, if he was to stay, upon finding all my AC off, vents closed etc. At that time, he stated he wanted to stay, but after discussion about expectations, and my expression that he could not adjust the AC in that way, he evidently decided my place was the worst place he ever stayed. I had a guest stay in the same room just the night before Hugo arrived, with no complaints whatsoever! Hugo had told me he was sensitive to mold before he booked the room, maybe he should reconsider his occupation as an insurance adjuster, as he will be encountering enormous amounts of mold when he visits homes after a hurricane has affected their property! Any home shut up for a week with no cooling will have some issues with mildew.
