Karma's place is very nice. There are totally 15 rooms and a restaurant. There is a nice garden with apple and peach trees and lots of open space. The bedroom we got was quite large, the bedsheets were clean. The bathroom was clean, the geyser gave very hot water. Karma's place is located away from Paro town area, so you need your own transportation to reach. We weren't informed that breakfast was part of the package we paid on Airbnb. But, we were charged for the extra bed, though we had discussed about 3 adults coming. The manager was very helpful, and went out of her way in arranging a cab for us to take us to Phuentsholing. The staff is very friendly. Nice location with great views of the hills. Tiger's Nest is about 4 kms from Karma's place, though one would need a cab to get there. Dinner and breakfast items were tasty, and as per Indian palate. The price of the dishes at the restaurant were equivalent to that of those charged at Thimphu restaurant.

Not a great choice to stay here. Its an over hyped airbnb listing as the host has many reviews. This is more run like a professional lodge than a typical airbnb stay. The location is very outskirts of Paro and is expensive & time consuming to reach this place. Walk of last 100 meters to reach the place is very scary in the night as its very dimly lit and many stray dogs. The main reason i booked in the place was because Tigers nest was close by. But the manager did not help even a bit to arrange a taxi at a reasonable fare to reach the base. Being a place which is far off from the town, the least one can expect is some tie up with good taxi drivers. Overall the experience could have been much better.

Dear Traveller, As a guest, I could not have asked for a more homely and pleasant experience than what I found at Nivvana. From the wonderful hospitality, to the cordial attitude, resourcefulness and friendliness of my kind host Karma and her staff, including Guyem, Toji and the rest of the team, it's one of the best places to be put up while you are in Paro. I had the opportunity to experience Bhutanese life at such intimate quarters, thanks to being put up at this homestay. Located in a quaint corner of Paro, in a manageable distance from the airport, and from the major tourist sights and sounds in Paro, Nivvana is right in the middle of a lush, green valley, dotted by the Pachu River running alongside. You can spend hours taking a refreshing and highly energising morning walk close to the home stay. The friendly locals and neighbours can give you an added insight into Bhutanese life. For animal lovers, it's a paradise for all the right reasons, thanks to some super scrappy, friendly and lovable dogs who love meeting new people and when encouraged, playing with them as well. The living quarters are spic and span, no TV, just the way it's meant to be, lots of books, guides and great food, made to order. The best part is that Karma and her team go the extra mile in taking care of the little details, so that your excursions to, let's say Tiger's Nest, or Paro town or the museums or Dzongs are a lot more informed and efficiently managed. In a nutshell, Nivvana is two-thumbs up and highly recommended. I really am looking forward to seeing more of Bhutan, and I hope you do find it in you to come over and discover this little slice of heaven, right here on Earth. Love and prayers, Bijoy

A nice homestay! In a quiet neighbourhood, so nothing much to do around except taking long walks, playing with dogs and admiring the scenery. My only recommendation would be if nets can be put up on the windows as insects come in during the night and we felt a bit stuffy. Food is good and the staff is excellent.

The room we stayed in at Nivvana Lodge had big windows and breathtaking views. I liked the fact it was away from the paro town, which is also nice but a bit touristy for my taste. The breakfast was hearty and good, the lunch as well. We used to have dinner in Paro town to try out different restaurants. The host was super helpful, friendly and helped us arrange transport. All in all, if I am back in Paro again, I know where to stay without a doubt!
