The space

The house is located inside a medieval fortress' walls called Castello di Baida, rebuilt in XIV century over the ruins of an ancient arab settlement known as Bayd.
On the gate's archway stands a commemorative stone for the visit of the king Ferdinand from the House of the Bourbons in 1801.
Nowadays the settlement is populated by countrymen and people who, charmed by the place's quiet and landscape, decided to buy a house to spend their weekends and holidays away from the city.

The first level is composed by a large living room with fireplace, leather couch with armchairs and a queen-size sofabed on the other side of the room, a toilet with showerbox and bidet, a dining room with a brickwork kitchen.
From the dining room you arrive at the second level through a stonework stairway; this level is composed by two queen-size bedrooms and a toilet with shower. Optionally you can choose to have one of these two queen-size bedrooms converted to a double or triple room.

The overall surface of the house is about 110 sqm.
On the outside, by the main gate inside the castle's walls, you have a table with chairs and a bench, while in the backyard you find a veranda with a wonderful view on the valley below the 1000 sqm private garden.

Equipment:
Pots and dishes, linen, television, fans, fireplace, hair-drier, washmachine, iron with board, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, kettle and barbeque.
The house is located in the quiet country of Baida's Castle near Scopello; as the crow flies it's at 3,7 km to the wonderful beach of Guidaloca Bay, 4,2 km to the picturesque stacks of Scopello where's the ancient tuna-fishing port, 6 km to the Zingaro Natural Reserve with its clear, azure bays and its untouched mediterranean flora and fauna.
Near the house, at about 50 meters, there's a cheese factory where in the morning you can find just drawn milk, fresh ricotta and other cheese, at 500 meters there's a pizzeria/restaurant, at 2.5 km Balata di Baida village with bar, restaurants and post office, at 5 km there's a super market, at 6 km Scopello village with shops, bars and restaurants, at 7,5 km the Zingaro Natural Reserve.

We had a great time in beautiful casa rurale with our family. Marco was away during our stay and we were greeted by his lovely father, who was very helpful and gave us great suggestions of where to go in Scopello. The house was beautifully decorated and very well equipped and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
