A perfect lakeside retreat in the heart of the Finger Lakes.

The space

Our cabin is truly a magical place any time of year.

In the winter months cozy up with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and your favorite book or movie. The view of the lake is incredible once the leaves have fallen and the smell of cedar nourishes the soul. Our neighborhood is quiet and the snow covered path to the cabin adds to its tranquility.

Feel alive in the spring as everything comes into bloom! Wine trail events begin to pick up and area hiking trails begin to thaw.

Summer is our peak season on Seneca Lake. Take a refreshing morning swim, enjoy the fire pit and stop for a pint at our local brewery.

Fall is alive with color. The trees lining our property are ablaze with shades of red and yellow. The sun is warm, the air is cool and the local cuisine is at its best.

We feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place and are incredibly excited to share the Finger Lakes with you!

Guest access

We invite you to make yourself at home, showing the same respect and level of care you would within your own space. Guests have access to the kitchen, both bath rooms, the downstairs recreation area, screened in front porch, and fire pit. The only areas off limits are the wood stove, boat hoist and locked storage closets.

Interaction with guests

Should anything come up during your stay that requires my help, I am available by phone or email, and am usually available to come to the property within minutes if necessary. I am always happy to provide assistance or recommendations, but in general you will not see me during your stay.

We had a wonderful time at Sarahs cabin. The house was everything we wanted for our stay and Sarah was so easy to work with and responded immediately. I am hoping to stay again next year.

The cabin was the cozy, woodsy, comfortable home base we were hoping to have for our weekend at the Finger Lakes. The temperatures were cool in the evenings, so we really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every evening. Sarah was great to work with - very prompt with her responses and very kind in her hospitality.

We were a group of six people and all of us had a great time in this cozy cabin. The cabin itself located on the hill facing to the lake. There is a BBQ grill outside the cabin and they have a lot of wood there for the guest to use. The cabin looks better than the picture! It is cozy and comfortable! Sarah and Dan mush spent sometime to decorate it! We played table tennis table and kaya on the lake. Sarah and Dan are very kind and helpful! They were always answering my questions promptly and trying to make sure our stay were comfortable. We appreciated it a lot!

Beatifully quiet and secluded with great layout. House is a bit dark but very cosy with all the lamps on in the evening and great cooking facilities and really special sitting round the fire pit . Canoeing is great and the water is crystal clear a few feet out from the jetty -the water is quite low at the moment so it's quite weedy at first but the neighbours were lovely and we swam from their jetty initially . Lovely place

Sarah's cabin was a great location for our trip to the Finger Lakes. The cabin is located very near a great brewery (Climbing Bines) for when we needed a break from all the wine, and downtown Penn Yan is a short drive away. The cabin is very open concept, with only one bedroom with a door that closes, so if privacy or different sleep schedules are concerns, this may not be the most ideal house, but if you have a group of people who like hanging out and laughing together, this cabin is a perfect setting. We canoed on Seneca Lake and enjoyed a fire, and spent a day hiking in Watkins Glen. Ithaca is a short drive away, and the region is full of wineries. We were pleased with our stay in Sarah's cabin, and will consider it again if our travels ever bring us back to the area!

We are lucky enough to call ourselves residents of the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York. Being outdoors, travel, simplicity, and food/drink made from scratch with love is what we crave.
