A cutting edge, eco friendly beach house situated in the original part of Rhosneigr and close to the beaches. This avant garde residence offers stylish, chic, spacious accommodation and innovative technology to make your stay very comfortable.

The space

The ground floor consists of 2 spacious, bright double bedrooms with oak flooring, 2 wet rooms/bathroom and utility room (washer/dryer) with porcelain tiled under floor heating. The first floor is light and capacious incorporating an open plan dining / living area with fully equipped kitchen (oven/microwave/dishwasher/freezer/fridge/coffee machine/wine cooler). Oak flooring throughout. A 'Morso' wood burning stove provides radiant heat and a romantic glow for those nights with a chill in the air when you want to curl up with a good book, watch a film, or just chat. Large double aspect folding sliding doors open onto a south facing cantilevered balcony with views of the sea and mountains.

The calendar is a rough guide to availability only. We are flexible* on start dates, arrivals and departures. The restriction on small children and pets is due to the amount of interior glass and highly polished surfaces. Babies are fine. Please feel free to contact us with any additional enquiries you may have.

Guest access

The house is let as a whole space for you to enjoy. It includes the house, garden, drive and garden shed. There is a double bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom. The house can sleep six, with two sofa beds in the main living area. There is a small locked cupboard with our personal belongings in that is not accessible to guests.

Interaction with guests

Other things to note

The property, self built, shows great attention to small detail such as the positioning which makes best use of views for sunsets and the sea. It has a Low Allergen Environment and minimalist style which provides calmness and tranquility. Its openness, enhanced by the balcony area on the first floor provides a sense of being part of nature whilst protected from some of the harsher elements. It is well placed in a quirky backwater allowing access to the sea through a quiet grassed lane.

Jackies place is absolutely more stunning than it looks. Such a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Good location for exploring the island and very close walk to beach and local shops/cafes. We had some issues getting to grips with the high tech heating and hot water but this was very quickly resolved once we contacted Jackie. Would absolutely recommend and hour to return. Fantastic value.

We had a great time staying at Jackie’s beautiful and unique home. The place is stunning and there are loads of great little design touches. We really appreciated the great coffee machine and lovely wood burning fire. The only reason we didn’t give our stay five stars was because of a couple of small cleanliness issues in one of the bathrooms when we arrived, some slightly dying flowers in a vase, and the fact that all the bedding was poly cotton (in contrast to the high quality of everything else in the house). None of which were very important individually, but could be improved. All in all, we’d thoroughly recommend Jackie’s place for a memorable and comfortable stay in Anglesey.

Fab location for exploring the area. Nice and bright inside, even on a grey day. Very short walk to the cafes on the high street.

Highly recommend you using this beautiful house. It's a home away from home. A stones throw away from the beach, and a balcony with sea view. The location is secluded from the main towns, giving you a very peaceful getaway. Jackie is an amazing host. She provides detailed intricate information prior to your arrival. She leaves the house with such thoughtful items. There was aromatherapy diffuser which aided in our pampering evening. She provides games and books for entertainment. She's very quick with responses and very accommodating with our requests. Would definitely return.

What a wonderfully relaxing spot - minutes from the beach, where there's plenty of rock pools to inspect and glorious sunsets. House just as described; beautiful & contemporary, sea views from the relaxing hanging chair. Plenty of space for us and our two small children. The bed is a standard double so is pretty small if you're used to larger beds, but we still slept very well in the peaceful rooms (the air cooling towers were a welcome touch and also provided a nice background hum). I'd do a food shop in advance next time as eating out in the evening seemed quite limited locally and the shop had run out of almost everything by Sunday evening. But chips on the beach was a fun treat. Thanks Jackie for a lovely stay.

Shearwater is probably one of the best airbnbs we've ever stayed in. Oak floors, underfloor heating, walk-in showers, big free-standing bath, high-spec kitchen, stylish and comfortable. The location is pretty unbeatable too - minutes' walk from the lovely beach of Rhosneigr - and not far from any of Ynys Mon's other destinations. We had a delightful stay here and would happily return.
