Shawn and I are both Arizona natives. He grew up in Williams and I here in Mesa. We are new "empty nesters. " Our daughter attends university in Connecticut and our son attends university in California. I work as a speech pathologist in an acute care hospital/cancer center and privately as a certified Eating Psychology Coach. I love food & I love to cook plant based foods. Shawn works at home teaching private art lessons for kids and running a business for web development and graphic design . Our family has hosted 9 (school year length) exchange students from around Europe & Asia and four short term Australian students. We have not been able to travel as we would like but having the students has broadened our family. Currently we are volunteering with AFS as liaisons for the exchange program.
We are choosing to host to meet others, provide a comfortable and relaxed space that is a "home away from home."
"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay a while and make footprints on our hearts and we are never the same."
