The apartment was great, felt like home, nice furniture and lots of lovely details. The location is great, close to a lively neighborhood, yet quiet and accessible. The check-in was easy and welcoming. Worth going for sure.

We made a reservation for 9 nights in this flat. On the night of our arrival, one of the toilets stopped working. We were told we could contact Luxury Rentals (administrators of this flat) anytime, it´s advertised like that in their webpage and on the contract we signed, if we had any problem. That´s not true. After 10 AM we could finally talk to one of the administrators of the 70 flats they have in Madrid and we were told that we would have to wait to have someone take a look and fix our toilet till at least 18:00. I told them that was quite unacceptable, we were a party of 5 and having one working toilet for one day was not OK. We got into a really strong argument about it and finally we agreed on meeting in the flat at 14:00. When I got there the administrator was already in the flat and the toilet fixed. Nevertheless argument continued since apparently I was out of line for wanting to have all the toilets (that I´ve paid) working properly during my whole stay. But I was told that I was being very unreasonable, that they were really busy since they had 69 apartments in Madrid and that they were busy delivering keys all day long. At the end they fixed the toilet and threaten to call Airbnb to have us out of the apartment that same day (we had 8 more days to go...). Even though I never got a call from Airbnb and we finished our stay there, I was quite shocked about the experience. I think that the whole point of Airbnb is to share a flat with local people, I didn´t realize that this flat was part of another 69 properties in Madrid being so, it´s understandable that the amount of work is quite a lot, and you are "really busy" and taking care of one toilet is not of great importance for business. I also think that if you´re on holidays, and decide to stay at a high end apartment like this one you expect to have all the facilities working properly, and obviously you cannot expect to have the remain of your stay jeopardized by an employee threatening to brake the housing deal you have. I´ve used Airbnb several times, and in all of them I have talked to the owners of the flat, I never had this kind of corporate intermediate before and it´s definitely not good. I have to say that the flat looks exactly like the pictures on the ad, and that location is great. I´m sure we would have enjoyed it much more if we would have been treated with some more respect, we were after all not only paying customers but under the Airbnb spirit, guests.
