On an acre of land, surrounded by tall trees and a large back yard. Neighbors are nearby but there's always a comfortable feeling of space & privacy. A great place to write, paint (light is fantastic) near skiing. Cozy, warm, all the comforts of home
The cozy living space takes the form of a great-room which makes up the living, kitchen and dining rooms. The kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator-freezer and filtered drinking water. The dinner table easily seats six.
There are three sleeping spaces with room for six people. The master bedroom suite has two large closets, amble drawer space, a queen size bed, basic cable TV and a full bath which includes a washer/dryer. There’s a large studio space over the garage, with a day bed that opens into twin beds, has basic cable TV, a propane heater and a wood burning stove. In the living room there is a convertible sofa that opens into a queen size bed and a large flat screen TV with HBO and Showtime in addition to basic cable along with two closets.
The second bathroom is on the first floor near the living space, where there is a full size stall shower equipped with grab bars.
You will have access to the whole house except for one private bedroom downstairs and a small alcove upstairs. The garage will also be off limits although there is an ample driveway for two or three cars parked side by side.
Interaction with guests
We will not be available except by phone, text or e-mail but there will be someone in town to call should you need assistance.
Other things to note
We have an oil furnace (filled on a regular basis) plus an automatic generator which takes over for the heat and electrics in case the power goes out and a pleasant, reliable guy who plows our road and driveway when it snows. There is a Vermont Castings propane stove in the living room and in the room upstairs, a wood burning stove and a propane heater.
The house is a ten minute drive from the center of Woodstock, about a twenty minute drive from the Kingston exit (19) of the NYS Thruway and the Adirondack Trailways bus stop to and from NYC is a five minute walk from the house.

I'm a theater professional, love to read good literature, sing show music and almost any kind of food except kale, avacado, goat or feta cheese and lima beans.
I can live simply or lavishly, I take good care of wherever I am.
