We highly recommend staying at Robin's estate BnB, the Markwood. Clean, fresh, comfortable, and quiet accommodations. Robin offers great personal touches for her guests with friendly informative tips and recommendations of places to see and local restaurants. We'll be back again! The Foxes - Montgomery, Tx

Markward Manor is beautiful! The history behind the home makes it even more enchanting. Robin can tell you all about it! We stayed here overnight so we could visit Colorado Bend State Park the next day. It was about 35 minutes from the state park, which worked out perfectly for us. Robin has the cutest dog and kitten on the property, both are very friendly! We stayed in Adelphia's Room. (There is history behind the name.) The room was the perfect size. Enough sleeping space for just the two of us. There was a little TV and a basket of DVDs to choose from, a couple cookies, and ingredients to make coffee or tea. The bathroom is very spacious, and was stocked with towels and soaps if you needed it. There is a walking path around the property you could enjoy in your free time, which we did. We were able to see the goats next door. The house is off the main street in Lampasas with easy access to shopping, food, etc. in town. There were magazines in our room with more information on Lampasas, and things to see. We toured all around town after we checked in and had a great time. Check-in and check-out are very flexible, we just let her know ahead of time when we would be arriving in town. Since we were going to the state park the next day, we checked out very early. We enjoyed our stay very much & would definitely stay there again!

Very nice place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom well supplied. Robin and Lee are great hosts and were very accommodating with my special needs son. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a pleasant surprise to find this place as we were planning a visit to see friends in the area. The setting is peaceful and the touches of cookies in the room and a wonderful breakfast surpassed our expectations. The tour of the main house and its history was an added treat indulging our interest in 19th century history. We hope to be back the next time we're in the area.
