Super convenient location! No car needed, only steps from MARTA Oakland City Station. 10 minute train to Airport & 5 minute train downtown. Welcoming atmosphere with a communal, hostel-like vibe, perfect for solo travelers looking for a fun, laid back place. Hosts are friendly and easy going, including the 3 resident canine co-hosts. Not a traditional room with solid walls but one of six inviting, beautifully decorated private areas divided by light wooden partitions & floor to ceiling curtains.

The space

Semi-Private Space.... This is not a real room with solid walls, but one of six cheerful, inviting, beautifully decorated areas divided by warm solid wooden partitions and floor to ceiling curtains. Picture a small spa room with the cozy feel of fort you may have built as a kid. Some have described them as sleeping pods or cubicles. There is total visual privacy, and guests are asked to keep any noise at a minimum, to accomodate everyone's sleeping schedule. In each of these little sleeping pods, you will find a very comfortable and well dressed single bed, plenty of storage, towel, robe, slippers, earplugs, headphones, fan, and pretty much everything needed to get a cozy night's rest, an afternoon nap, a session of work/study, or just chillin and relaxing. These crash pads are perfect for just a night passing through Atlanta (only 4 quick stops from the Airport, then a 3 minute walk to the house) or even for an extended stay (so close to downtown) At any given time there could potentially be up to 6 people staying in the Crash Pad area, sharing a small kitchen, one shower/tub, 2 toilets, and 3 vanity sinks with loads of natural light and mirrors, which is plenty to accomodate everyone. The Crash Pads and amenities described are on the Garden level of our beautiful historic home. The main level has 5 private rooms, 2 bathrooms, the big main kitchen, and lots of living room/common area space available to use for hanging out, working, reading, etc...The common areas, bathrooms and kitchen on main floor are all available to crash pad guests, too. Guests are usually well traveled, friendly, educated, interesting to chat with, and in the habit of good house sharing etiquette. Sorry, no children or pets allowed. However, we do have 3 of the sweetest, cutest dogs ever that stay here, as well as myself, Tracy.
House is tastefully furnished with vintage housewares mixed with modern and elements of nature. Kitchen available to guests, as well as WIFI and BBQ grill. Nice big yard and patio seating perfect for enjoying our beautiful, sunny Atlanta mornings.

The neighborhood...Capitol View, an up and coming community close to downtown. It's a strictly residential neighborhood comprised of single family homes that has a Bohemian mixed with inner city feel. You won't meet any tourists around here. It's mostly just local, lower income, working class, friendly ATLiens. Semi-Private Space... Crash Pads are sleeping quarters for solo travelers and, therefore, a designated Quiet Area. Please do not take or make cell phone calls in the Crash Pad area and keep phones on silent or vibrate. Also, use headphones (which we are happy to provide) with computer/audio/music/games/etc...
Only Airbnb guests are allowed in the sleeping quarters, so no pets and no visitors. There are plenty of common areas around the house and outside (preferred) which are suitable for phone conversations, lively exchanges, video chats, etc... All guests should be able to enjoy a tranquil, relaxing environment so please be conscientious and use headphones when listening to music and watching TV in all common areas. We often play chill music throughout the house, but if you prefer to have a common area without music, just let us know and we can turn it down or off in the area you are using. If you want to receive company in the common areas, please make arrangements with us in advance.
If you use the kitchen, please leave it exactly as you found it. Wipe the counters and table down when you are finished eating and push your stools back under the table, so it's clean and inviting for the next person.
Quiet, inside voices please.
Laundry available for long term guests (5 days or more). Guests must schedule at least 24 hours in advance.
No feeding the dogs human food, dog treats are fine!
Keep all your belongings in your room or in one of the designated bins you been assigned in the kitchen or wash area.
Use your assigned space in the fridge/freezer, please.

This is a tight communal living space, but if everyone practices excellent house sharing etiquette, it is a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.

IMPORTANT: you must schedule a time for check in. If you need to drop bags off earlier than 3:00, you can make arrangements with us. Do not show up unannounced, there won't be anyone there to assist you. This is not a hotel with a reception desk. There isn't a bell. All check-ins must be set up here on the Airbnb message thread.

This place is amazing!!! Tracy the owner & host is lovely, super friendly & helpful. Her home is beautiful & immaculate, with each room & sleeping space carefully thought out. I'd stay forever if I could. Her three dogs are so cute! This is the best airbnb I've ever stayed at. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Great value for money, you won't be disappointed! Everything is catered to, plenty of amenities for guests, never had to wait for a bathroom or to use kitchen facilities. A true home away from home! The location is ideal - right next to a train station for easy access to the entire city. It's a safe, lush area with trees all around. Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping! Beds are really comfortable - best sleep I've had while travelling. I give this place 10 out of 10. Definitely stay here if you can! I'll be back for sure.

I had a really lovely stay here! The place has a great vibe, is beautifully furnished and decorated and is well equipped. (It was a very nice gesture to even provide bathropes!) The best thing about it is the home-like atmosphere. (If you have a light sleep maybe bring some earplugs.) I definitely recommend the place!!

Great place if you're single and going for a convention or something in town. Limited personal space makes this not ideal for couples or those with families. Would definitely recommend for those who need a place to crash during a multiday convention or when coming to Atlanta for an event.

What a great place - after spending a lot of time overseas, it was a wonderful place to stay upon my return. I arrived real late, and everything was set up and ready to use. I had the best shower of my life, and was able to lounge in my bathrobe and feel like a BOSS! hahaha, real great experience - don't miss out!

Easy going and creative....enjoy cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, all things vintage, history, architectural preservation, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and try to find beauty in all things. Love to have fun and not take life too seriously. Enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture at all. Love to buy houses and fix them up. Have quite a few places where we host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. When staying in a private room, you will be in a room in one of our houses, most likely, there will be a couple of canine co-hosts in the house as well, so loving dogs is a must! Our properties are in lower income, inner city neighborhoods where real, local ATLiens live. You won't see many tourists around, mostly, just typical working class folks who love to sit on the front porch and unwind as part of Southern culture. We always say hello to each other in passing, so please be friendly and observe our friendly custom when encountering locals, they will appreciate the gesture. Locals typically enjoy meeting and helping out-of-towners. Because we are in a lower income, less traveled neighborhood, we can offer stylish, affordable accommodations to travelers on a budget. Also, for travelers relying on public transportation, we are on the Marta line conveniently situated halfway between the Airport and downtown. The rates are very reasonable and not subject to negotiation. Rates, terms, and policies are fixed and applied equally to all guests. We look forward to hosting you one day soon.
