We are very open to meeting new people and love making friends. We also value privacy and are normally quiet and keeping busy around the grounds or taking trips around Los Angeles. Day trips to the beach are extremely important to us and we love visiting weekly. If you are curious about anything that goes on in or around the city we'll do our best to lend some advice. Safe and Happy times, Travelers!!

Other things to note

3 things to keep in mind...

1. We are located on a hill, it's really cool, really pretty and a little bit of an incline. Be sure to adjust your wheels accordingly, if you're facing up the hill, it's "up up and away from the curb". If you're on across the street facing downhill turn towards the curb.

2. Baxter Street (Feels like the steepest street in LA!). You will survive if GPS takes you this way, but if you prefer to see what's in front of you can take Echo Park Avenue which hits Sunset Boulevard. So Sunset Boulevard to Echo Park Avenue to Champlain Terrace.

3. Phone Service
Service is patchy in the hills with some wireless providers. We have added microcell towers for Verizon and Att. T-Mobile and Sprint work well. If you have Verizon your phone should connect automatically. Att numbers must be added by Tim upon arrival and require you to reset your phone for the initial connection. We also have a landline and fast wifi.

We love making new friends and sharing good times! We also know that our new guests need their sleep, thus we tend to have respectable quiet hours according to the day of week, weekends and holidays. We also value privacy and peaceful enjoyment of the environment.
All we ask is for kindness and respect and to keep the space clean and peaceful and of course, respect our neighbors too.

We love dogs and charge an additional $10 per dog daily when traveling with yours. Please let us know while making your reservation and we'll send a special offer including the charges. Additionally, dogs must be well tempered and house trained, in your room or with you when leaving property, under your supervision when playing in the yard and always relieved outside the grounds. As a friendly reminder, it's an LA ordinance to always pickup after your dogs.

Smoking is not permitted inside the house or anywhere on the grounds.

Everything was amazing! I only stayed one night but I did not want to leave. There was a very homey feel to this place. I cannot wait to book this place again!

We loved this place, it was a nice and quiet little retreat from the LA hustle and bustle. Has all the usual and some extra amenities

The hosts made us feel very welcome, especially by providing things like tea & coffee, and having freshly washed towels for us. The area wasn't as safe as I was expecting, but was far from dangerous. The house is on a really steep hill which made it difficult to park (especially driving an 8-seater Astro van). I couldn't reach the host beforehand with a few questions that we had, but we figured it out. Overall, though, it was a really nice stay. It felt like home and was very accommodating to our needs as guests. We all said that we would stay here again!

I actually already left a review for Deborah, Laura, and Chris, but I ended up extending my stay with them because it was so great! I needed a place to stay and they made me feel super comfortable by communicating quickly and answering all of my questions! The place was so cozy and cute.

We had a great time at Deborah's! We were a group of 4 and had the whole upstairs floor which was really nice. The house was clean, really nice host, and a lovely dog :)
