About this listing

A simple and creative, private bedroom / bathroom with minimalist elements in a clean and comfortable home. Central to the city in ABQ Uptown, we have quick, easy and walking access to Duke City's favorite restaurants, bars, parks, theaters and more.

Our private bedroom sleeps two on a twin-sized memory foam mattress, and we have extra space with couches / floor-cushioned beds available, as well.

The space

Stay in a clean / minimalistic room with a modern feel inside of our native New Mexican adobe home. An east-facing window allows for sunlight in the morning, shining through to a desk free for work space, or writing, or a cup of coffee and relaxation. The closet is empty, and the drawers are yours - feel free to unpack your bags and make yourself at home! A natural vibe mid-city with quick access to anything and everything Albuquerque.

We also have a comfortable theater room with couches that will sleep two, and a futon that will sleep one. Feel free to inquire about additional guests.

Guest access

Guests have access to a house with a private bedroom and a full bathroom specifically for you. Towels and toiletries provided. The kitchen, dining, room and living / theater room are spaces available for you to use as well. The kitchen is stocked with cooking tools, plates and utensils available to guests with an oven/stovetop and microwave. The theater room is available for guests with computers who would like to connect to our projector screen / bluetooth for a huge "television" experience.

The back porch offers a spectacular view for sunsets against the Sandia Mountains, and simple meals.

Interaction with guests

Interaction with guests can be as brief or open as you'd like. We are available and I think we're nice. Haha. Please don't hesitate to ask about anything - especially concerning the house, the city and special highlights.

We have a keyless entry, so the code will be shared prior to your visit if we are not available to receive you.

Other things to note

Our cat, an American Bobtail affectionally named Gilbert, just might be the head of the household. He's an indoor feline, and under no circumstances may he be allowed to make his way outside. Our next door neighbors are dog people, and we'd prefer it if they didn't know about ol' Gilly.

Our house is usually undergoing some sort of DIY project as we seek to make it more and more of a welcoming and accommodating space for creatives, guests and sojourners like yourselves. That said, don't be surprised if one of us is out digging holes in the yard! We want it to be even better the next time you come through town!

I was so comfortable staying at Levi's place. Everything was sparkling clean and easily accessible. This was huge because I was super tired after driving about 15 hours straight. Levi even had some beverages for me in the fridge when I got to the house. If you're in Albuquerque I highly recommend a stay at this home.

This was my first AirBnB experience and the hosts were great! The house was super clean and well-cared for just like shown in the photos. And, Levi provided easy and clear information about arriving and getting settled. I didn't get to meet Levi, but Brandi was very kind and accommodating. She was the perfect host, giving me space to settle in but was also friendly and willing to provide any information I needed. And Gilbert the cat is super sweet! I will definitely be back!

Levi is an excellent host. Communication has always been propmpt and effective. House and room were very clean. Wifi was great, check in and out was a Breeze as there is a lock keypad at the door. I stayed for 5 days, they were very kind and allowed use of kitchen, living room etc. I was out most of the time during the stay but much appreciated the use of their washer and dryer. I stayed there for a conference located at Sheraton ABQ. House is in close proximity to Sheraton as well as Hyatt, uptown ABQ. About 20 min walk to hotel from house or Uber for $4.5 to $4.9 one way. Uber or Lyft to downtown and old town were around $14 to $18 depends on time of the day. It's a great place to stay!

Levi and Brandi are two hosts from heaven. Gilbert became my pal as I walked into the living room the first time. Posing for a picture, we became fast friends. Bed was so comfortable, I even asked about where/how to purchase and Levi immediately sent me a link. Entire house is spotless and everything can be found in its place and ready for easy use. Private Bathroom was a short step across a very quiet hallway. Pictures and description are very accurate. UBER was my choice of travel, and they are very near by and quick. Great self entry lock worked great after a couple practice twists. Easy and felt very protected knowing it was locked and secure. Hosts have such a busy schedule, but they both spent time with me and lifted my spirits during my stay with them. Very grateful for such a wonderful time shared with them. I would (will) definitely stay here again on my next trip into Albuquerque. P.S. Please tell Gilbert purrrrpurrrdtdtdtdddttt. Thanks!! Miss him

I am new to the area and stayed with Levi and Brandi while house hunting. The experience was great. Days prior to check-in Levi contacted me with answers to every question I had (even questions I didn't have) and check in was simple. They are very friendly and will help you with all your needs. The place was clean, everything listed in the amenities section was there and in working condition. This place is perfect for people who plan to be busy and enjoy privacy but also the convenience of knowing assistance is there if you need it. Very easy entry that doesn't require you to carry around a key, and they have a pretty awesome cat that stays out of your way unless you want to interact with him. Close to shopping and the base. I definitely recommend to any traveler.

Great location. Home was spotless and had a nice, welcoming feel. Bed was very comfortable. Windows were well insulated so noise from street was well muffled. Hosts were friendly in the short amount of time we were there at the same time.

Hi. I'm Levi, and my wife's name is Brandi. We're both Albuquerque born-and-raised, although I spent a stint in California before we met. For work, I'm a spoken word poet, and we tour full time as a performance artists. When we are home, Brandi teaches Crossfit classes at a local gym, and hangs out with our cat, Gilbert (who's vying for the head of the household). We've been hosted by hundreds of people across the country and internationally in the last seven years of touring, and love the opportunity to host others in return. We love friends and family, and feel like we've got a lot of both in the Duke City, and abroad. Our favorite places to visit are probably San Fransisco-on-up through the Pacific Northwest (although I do love the old architecture back East). We love music. We love creativity. We love people. Hopefully we'll get a chance to share some of that with you if you happen by (or, we'll just love to leave you alone if you'd prefer that, instead - haha)!
