A simple and creative, private bedroom / bathroom with minimalist elements in a clean and comfortable home. Central to the city in ABQ Uptown, we have quick, easy and walking access to Duke City's favorite restaurants, bars, parks, theaters and more.
Our private bedroom sleeps two on a twin-sized memory foam mattress, and we have extra space with couches / floor-cushioned beds available, as well.
Stay in a clean / minimalistic room with a modern feel inside of our native New Mexican adobe home. An east-facing window allows for sunlight in the morning, shining through to a desk free for work space, or writing, or a cup of coffee and relaxation. The closet is empty, and the drawers are yours - feel free to unpack your bags and make yourself at home! A natural vibe mid-city with quick access to anything and everything Albuquerque.
We also have a comfortable theater room with couches that will sleep two, and a futon that will sleep one. Feel free to inquire about additional guests.
Guests have access to a house with a private bedroom and a full bathroom specifically for you. Towels and toiletries provided. The kitchen, dining, room and living / theater room are spaces available for you to use as well. The kitchen is stocked with cooking tools, plates and utensils available to guests with an oven/stovetop and microwave. The theater room is available for guests with computers who would like to connect to our projector screen / bluetooth for a huge "television" experience.
The back porch offers a spectacular view for sunsets against the Sandia Mountains, and simple meals.
Interaction with guests
Interaction with guests can be as brief or open as you'd like. We are available and I think we're nice. Haha. Please don't hesitate to ask about anything - especially concerning the house, the city and special highlights.
We have a keyless entry, so the code will be shared prior to your visit if we are not available to receive you.
Other things to note
Our cat, an American Bobtail affectionally named Gilbert, just might be the head of the household. He's an indoor feline, and under no circumstances may he be allowed to make his way outside. Our next door neighbors are dog people, and we'd prefer it if they didn't know about ol' Gilly.
Our house is usually undergoing some sort of DIY project as we seek to make it more and more of a welcoming and accommodating space for creatives, guests and sojourners like yourselves. That said, don't be surprised if one of us is out digging holes in the yard! We want it to be even better the next time you come through town!
- Make yourself at home!
- No smoking inside the house. Smoking is optional on front porch and back deck.
- No illegal substances or weapons of any kind.
- Noise levels after 10pm should be kept at a courteous minimum level as we are located in a residential neighborhood with children nearby.
Hi. I'm Levi, and my wife's name is Brandi. We're both Albuquerque born-and-raised, although I spent a stint in California before we met. For work, I'm a spoken word poet, and we tour full time as a performance artists. When we are home, Brandi teaches Crossfit classes at a local gym, and hangs out with our cat, Gilbert (who's vying for the head of the household). We've been hosted by hundreds of people across the country and internationally in the last seven years of touring, and love the opportunity to host others in return. We love friends and family, and feel like we've got a lot of both in the Duke City, and abroad. Our favorite places to visit are probably San Fransisco-on-up through the Pacific Northwest (although I do love the old architecture back East). We love music. We love creativity. We love people. Hopefully we'll get a chance to share some of that with you if you happen by (or, we'll just love to leave you alone if you'd prefer that, instead - haha)!
