Interaction with guests
If guests would like some suggestions about things to do in the area, I'd be happy to help. I look forward to getting to know my guests as much as makes sense while we cross paths in the house.
Other things to note
There is no cell service right at my house, but I do have WiFi which is available to my guests as well as a landline phone if short domestic calls need to be made from the house. There is cell service that is spotty in the area. House is not child-safe, so please no children under the age of 6.
No smoking or pets allowed. Since I live in the house, I expect my guests to respect my home, clean up after themselves, and be willing to interact with me when everyone is in the house. I don't expect to entertain my guests, but would love a chance to get to know who is staying in my home. I love meeting new people.
I’ve lovingly designed and built my crafted straw bale home on ten acres in the rolling hills and valleys of Westminster West. From my own hand constructed cabinetry and furniture to my friends’ hand made stained glass and pottery, there are artisan touches everywhere you turn in the house. I support sustainability with re-use and recycle. A lover of the outdoors, I head into the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire to hike and backpack while keeping my footprint small out in the wilderness. I socially dance including contradance, cajun and zydeco, swing, two step and Argentine Tango. I’m a classically trained musician playing a variety of instruments. I empower women and girls through teaching woodworking classes while running a custom cabinetry business out of the woodshop at my home. I recently spent a year traveling around the US without a vehicle and found great opportunities to develop new relationships as well as see lovely landscapes.
