If you are looking for a month rental or longer in the hippest area in the City, the Marina, our flat is the place to be. Perfect for a single person or a couple, it oozes with romance. We've actually had two couples get engaged while staying here. Most guests don't want to leave and many have returned. It is a gorgeous Mediterranean, late 1920s building, and our pied-à-terre maintains its original charm. Walk to the Bridge or Fisherman's Wharf. Take in sweeping views from the rooftop. Enjoy!

The space

Location. Location. Location. The Marina is the best. Chic. Elegant. Hip Urban Vibe. Go everywhere from here. Easy bus access to Financial District and everywhere else. We also have onsite parking. About 10 steps to the Marina Green, with sweeping views of Bay. We are a few blocks to the Marina's Chestnut Street, Cow Hallow's Union Street and the Presidio. We absolutely love it here and so will you.

About the space
It's a junior one bedroom with a (full) double bed placed in a large alcove with doors that close should you wish. The living room is large and filled with natural light and oversized down-filled sofas. The sofa pulls out to a queen bed with a built in air mattress (pump is under dresser). The separate sitting room is charming and has a large window that faces the courtyard.

The kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher, small range, microwave, refrigerator, and sink with garbage disposal.

Laundry is shared in the building.

We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!

A beautiful, beautiful unit in a gorgeous 1920s apartment building. Lovingly maintained, and you will be within walking distance of so much of what people come to San Francisco to see! With parking included it is a rare find! All the amenities you need to stay comfortably are provided. Just make sure you understand that there is no elevator in the building and you need to climb two-and-a-half flights of stairs. The bed is only a three quarter bed and there is only access from one side of the bed..no access fron foot of the bed either. You could use the very nice queen size sofa bed that is in the living room if you chose, and then you would not have to worry about the situation with the bed. The apartment is spotless, and Cara is very easy to communicate with. The furnishings are beautiful. And again, you could not find a better location for a stay in San Francisco!

Charming and lovely pied-à-terre in the Marina. It's perfect in every way. Bight, clean and beautifully decorated. The building is enchanting. We didn't want to leave! Cara has made her place so accommodating. She has everything you need IF you want to cook. But, you won't! She is so close to Chestnut St that you will be dining out every night! During the day grab to go lunches and sit by the Palace of Fine Arts or on the beach gazing at the Golden Gate Bridge. YES, SHE IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! Wednesday and Sunday enjoy the the regattas by the St Francis Yacht Club. Explore the Presidio and adventure out on the beautiful walking trails and learn it's fascinating history. Finish your day watching sailboats, windsurfers, kite-surfers as the sun drops into the Pacific behind the Golden Gate Bridge...We had a fabulous stay! Cara, thank you so much for everything! We will be back! Sent from my iPad

I stayed at Cara's charming flat for three months, and overall it was an amazing stay. In the beginning, the space needed a little help, only because it's a very old building. It was very stuffy and smelled just like an old apartment. After purchasing a fan and some air fresheners, the problem was solved! There were a few minor issues with the garbage disposal and cable but Cara addressed them immediately. The neighborhood is beautiful and very safe, with so many cute restaurants and shops all about five blocks away, and this is definitely an area you can walk around in day or night. The view from the roof was INCREDIBLE with views of the golden gate and Alcatraz. I was fortunate enough to be there for fleet week and was able to watch the blue Angels whiz by with front row seats. The building is very charming and very unique because of its age. It's definitely a very San Francisco building. It was overall an amazing stay, Cara was always accessible and responded very quickly to me if I needed anything. I would totally recommend this space to anyone! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!! Thanks so much Cara!!

Response from Cara:
Thanks for the feedback Amy. The building was built in 1928, and we keep the windows closed when not there, so you are absolutely right, it's always stuffy when we arrive. We usually just open the windows, but getting a small fan is a good idea. Good luck to you Amy in all your adventures!

Hi, I'm Cara and the mother of three. We love to hang out with family and friends. We like traveling to cool places and cooking great meals together. Enjoying the beach and the City part time and residing in Central Valley means we have the best of California, tremendous sunsets, exciting chic urban community and our big home kitchen and garden to cook up delicious food straight from the farm. We love being apart of the California way of life by hiking, playing tennis, going to the beach, skiing and enjoying the great weather, food and wine with family and friends.
