The cottage is far down a country lane, nestled in the woods and atop a glen overlooking a sandy beach. It is truly idyllic. A serene and secluded space to get away from it all. Also, there are deer.

Rose Blair Cottage is the loveliest place to spent a romantic retreat or a cozy family holiday. There are lots of nice walks, a beach with a waterfall and a cove perfect for adventurers big and small, and lots of lovely places to visit within less than an hour's drive. Anne and her husband are very available and attentionate hosts and there were home-made meringues and fresh eggs waiting for us on our arrival. Highly recommended!

Reading is my life, especially if the books are by women of colour. My husband and I have traveled quite a bit, and we've concluded, without any bias, Vietnamese cuisine is the absolute best. I am also a proud and outspoken feminist who is passionate about racial justice, rural development, and voting rights. My children, Poi and Beebop, love pho and Vietnamese ginger chicken more than life itself. They're also partial to whacking nettles and swinging under the chestnut tree in the back of the Castle.
