All-season, hike-in, off-grid/nature retreat. This authentic Mongolian Yurt is 16' round with dome windows, spring water, small fridge, cooktop, fireplace, heater, queen bed, fold-out single, lounge sofa, solar power, attached compost toilet, back deck, private fire-pit area + shared wood-burning sauna. Peaceful comfort with beautiful views and bird watching! Dog friendly (please inquire). Private 72 acres property, owners live here with 2 dogs and have 2 yurts and 2 cabins with guests.

The space
Placed perfectly in the center of serenity, where you can hear the flowing water of the Saugeen River! All seasons bring wonder and delight, beauty and awe at ReLive!

Hand crafted in Mongolia, The Sunflower is our 16' round, open concept, yellow yurt cabin. A year round, 4 season, off-grid, hike-in experience, with all the comforts. We provide as much as possible to make your 5min hike into the yurt site from the parking area as light as possible. The hike is primarily down-hill with interesting terrain and views. This yurt has one queen bed and a single fold-out, which can sleep up to a maximum of 3 people comfortably. It is a smaller space so please plan smartly, kids need extra care in winter around wood stove. Yurt comes equipped with everything you would need for your nature experience. Kitchenette with small sink, filtered spring water, a small fridge, 2-burner propane stove, silverware, basic utensils, small pots and pans, dish towels and soap, basic spices for cooking, french press for coffee or leaf tea, manual hand grinder for fresh ground coffee, dishes, cups, glasses, cutting knifes and cutting board. Everything you would need to create small meals and tidy up afterwards. We are creating a 'tiny living experience' within the natural environment! Our half bathroom is fitted with a Swedish urine-diverting compost toilet, a waterless urinal and a new sink (hand soap and towels provided).

We are developing unique experiences within nature, not a campground experience. Our hope is to inspire people to live connected with the natural world and to enjoy the peacefulness with all the comforts at a smaller scale. Items like extra tents or outdoor camping is not permitted.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO COVID-19 we are taking the following precautions:
• Along with following AirBNB's cleaning guidelines, we have invested in a ULV Fogging unit that instantly disinfects with an all natural/safe 99.99% effective product from EnviroNize (Health Canada approved).
- We currently do not provide bedding and linens (due to Covid). Please plan to bring your own CLEAN bedding and linens for your stay. If you arrive during check in hours we can arrange to help take down your extra items with our atv/snowmobile.

• At this time we do not have shower facilities set up. We do however have a wood burning sauna. Showers are in our longer term plan. For warmer month we can provide camp shower bags at the sauna for an easy rinse.
• On our 72 acres we have two yurts with a shared sauna and a 700 sq ft cabin w/hot tub. Feel free to check out our postings here on airbnb.
• The yurt is for a maximum of 4 people. Please consider dogs when planning your trip. For example, 4 people and 2 dogs won't work due to the size of the yurt.
• We do allow kids and babies, though extra care must be taken around all heat related elements and you will need to help them use the toilet properly. Everything is to Ontario building code.

We recycle as much as possible, compost organics and conserve energy, promoting a respectful living experience with nature.

More details for you:

The yurt has a small wood fireplace in the centre of the space which is piped up through the central dome. Wood is provided in the cooler months for the stove. Information will be provided, along with tips for creating fires. There is also a direct vent propane heater to keep a base heat and for those not too handy with building fires.

There is a sofa that turns into an extra sofa-bed and a fold-out table, which seats 4 place settings beside the kitchen.

The yurt is also equipped with a Goal Zero Yeti 400 solar generator with a 100 Watt solar panel to recharge. Indoor lights are connected to the battery, along with the heater fan and airflow fan for the compost toilet. You can use the battery to recharge your devices as there are 2 usb plugs and a normal plug. Just keep an eye on the power being used and the weather forecast so you don't run the battery out. We do not permit items like a hair dryer, electric grinder or any energy-intensive device as it has the potential to deplete the solar battery very fast.

The compost toilet is a swedish design called Separett. It separates the urine from the solids keeping things cleaner and odorless. You will have to sit on the toilet for the urine to go into the right place. For men who do not like to sit to urinate, we have installed a waterless urinal. Please spray down after each use with the accompanying mister.

A wood burning sauna, built by our local Mennonite community is easily accessible along the trails for our guests to fire-up and enjoy. Firewood will be available alongside the sauna. Please review information for instructions on use. Finnish countries have been known to use saunas to cleanse the body and clean it of all its toxins as a form of bathing. More information is available for you in the yurt.

We are occasionally dog friendly so please do inquire if you would like to bring your furry friend. We recommend keeping your dog on leash in the evening if you want them to hang outside at night with you as there are other wildlife on the property (deer, rabbit, porcupine, coyotes, beaver, etc). We do not allow off leash dogs during the night and ask to always keep an eye on your dog during the day so they do not wonder off. We have two dogs that live on the property with us who love meeting new guests pups. One is a big sheepadoodle who is a rambunctious sweetheart and his name is Happy. The other is a border collie, super smart. Be warned, if you start to play frisbee or ball with her she will not let you stop ;-) Her name is Boca.

Our property is one of a kind. Sunrises are magical and there is much diversity throughout the land and trails. There are 3 reforested areas, lots of old forest, a meandering meadow, hills, wetlands, apple trees, the Saugeen River, streams and a natural spring. Wildlife includes tons of deer, rabbit, birds, wild turkeys and the occasional spotting (or hear them howl) of coyotes. The valley of the property echoes so they do sound close sometimes even though they are a far distance away.

** Also, for ATV and Snowmobile trails, which are close to Priceville, come stay with us! Snowmobiles can ride down SLOWLY to the yurt sites.

During your stay

Upon arrival we greet our guests and hike them down to the yurts to show them around. We will have our ATV or snowmobile (with trailer) to load up your belongings and take them down for you. We do promote "small living" and provide everything except your food and personal items, so please do consider this as much as possible when packing (not including bedding and linens at the moment due to Covid). After showing you around we interact with the guests only as needed, respecting privacy. We do hike with the dogs every day, no earlier then 9:30am and they may come by and say hello.
