In a world of completely overused superlatives, this was honestly the best Airbnb experience we've had. Hung is a great host, and his family are so welcoming. Be sure to do a cooking class ! We did not want to leave and wish we we could have stayed longer. Will be back for sure.

Hung and his family are verry hospitable, warm and helpful. We arrived at dinnertime and a great meal was served. The bungalow is very nice, stylish decorated, good beds. Great breakfast. There is little pool to cooldown, the old town can easily been reached by bike or by taxi. Bikes are offered for free. Hung arranged a taxi for transfer to the airport, On advice of Hung we did a cookingclass in the organic garden, this was really a nice experience. Thanks Hung and family for the nice stay, and good luck with your business!!

First of all, Hung is an amazing host. He was super helpful in arranging our transit from the airport, providing us with delicious meals, and helping us with everything else we needed. Our stay in Hoi An was so much better because of him and his family. Secondly, the actual place itself is beautiful. Our rooms were very spacious and there were plenty of places to relax outside as well. Though it may seem that the place is far from the heart of town, it was very easy to get in by taxi. We loved its close proximity to the beach, and we were able to ride motorbikes and bicycles to the beach. There was nothing we didn't love about Hung's place. I highly recommend you stay here if you are planning a visit to Hoi An.

We could not have loved our time at Jardin de Mai more. Hung and his wife were incredible hosts, from arranging airport transport and side trips, to taking us to a local village for breakfast and shopping, to making breakfast in the morning and sharing their love of Vietnam and Hoi An. They also have a cooking school and restaurant at a local organic farm. I honestly was skeptical of taking a cooking class while we were in SE Asia, as it seems kind of touristy and basic, but we actually learned a lot and had a terrific time. Highly recommend participating in that. The bungalow we stayed in was great, and the whole property is beautiful. They were installing an above-ground pool while we were there, so it's only getting better. The sweet puppy that lives there, Lily, is an added bonus. Some things to note: Hung will arrange transport into Hoi An Old Town once per day. Getting a cab back is very easy and inexpensive. There are fun seafood restaurants nearby at An Bang Beach, as well as a fancy beach bar at Palm Garden Resort; easy cab ride (or motorbike, if you're comfortable with that). Frankly, while we liked Hoi An, we were so grateful to be staying outside of town. This would be a great base for exploring Central Vietnam beyond Hoi An: My Son, the beaches, etc. This is a great place run by great people.

Hung's place is one of the best AirBnB experiences we've had in our several months of travel. To be honest, he could probably charge a bit more for what he offers. He did a wonderful job with the room and the bed was comfortable for me even with my bad back. It's well decorated with a personal touch. His lovely family, cute little friendly dog, well-loved kitchen, cute fishing pond, etc were all lovely touches that made his place feel like a real home. As a host, you couldn't ask for anything more. He speaks fluent English and has a fantastic demeanor. He just knows what he's doing and conveys a quiet confidence and enthusiasm. He supplies free bicycles, free delicious breakfasts he cooks himself (western or Vietnamese food), cheap motorbike rentals, quick tours of the nearby fishing village, and great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The neighborhood is cute and just the right amount off the beaten path of central Hoi An (less than 10 minute motorbike ride). There's a nearby tourist outfit that rents round, handmade boats out for a river cruises. We didn't do this, but it looked fun enough. Sometimes they play dance music during the days to entertain their floating customers, but it was really more funny than annoying (they turn it off well before we went to bed). Ok, so one of the best parts for last. Hung owns and runs a gorgeous restaurant that also offers cooking classes. My wife Alyssa has taken cooking classes all over SE Asia and this was her favorite! I joined and had a great time, in part because the food we made was delicious and the experience included a walking tour of the farms and gardens that surround it 360 degrees. Everything is pretty organic and people are always working on the crops. If you'd like they'll show you how to plant, water, etc. All of the produce used in the restaurant comes from these local farms and Hung is an expert in explaining the processes and history of the farms and gardens in and around Hoi An. I just can't recommend this place highly enough.

The garden bungalow was better than described. This was our favorite stay from Saigon to Hue! Hung and his wife were spectacular hosts. The property is exceptionally tidy with gorgeous garden and private space. Very close to local eateries, the beach and downtown. We highly recommend this stay.

We stayed 2 nights and felt very welcomed by the accommodating and helpful hosts. Place as per pictures, clean and comfortable. Being slightly further away from Old Town, there is more peace here. Lots to do for the kids too playing with their son, dog, fishing etc. Nice to cycle in the neighbourhood to see the locals, the rice fields, wetlands and we tried the basket boat all which is nearby. My wife learned some Viet cooking and we had a delicious dinner. Breakfast was also good and it filled us up. Owner gave tips on where to eat and we had the best Cao Lao in Hoi An and one of the best Bahn Mi in Vietnam. All in all, a memorable experience. Thanks Hung N fam.
