Welcome to Clachan Geala, our much loved holiday cottage in Duror, just 20 minutes from Glen Coe. Stunning views across loch, Sleeps 4 +1 in double & family room. Safe enclosed garden. Access to the beach on Loch Linnhe. Great base for exploring.

The space

Ideally located on the shores of Loch Linnhe, Clachan Geala is a comfortable, traditional self-catering holiday cottage sleeping 4 (+1). Located in the village of Duror on the west coast of Scotland, it is also within easy reach of Oban and Fort William.

Clachan Geala has 2 double bedrooms, both enjoying open Loch views. One of the bedrooms also has single bed making it ideal for families. A travel cot and a high chair are both available.

The ground floor has a choice of living space: there is a snug sitting room with wood-burning stove - perfect for cosying up in after a day spent outdoors! Alternatively, there is a glazed sun room with amazing views over Loch Linnhe - great for sunsets.

Upstairs is a family bathroom with bath; on the ground floor is a shower room.

Full domestic comforts are on tap! Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, DVD player, books, maps and board games are all here for you to enjoy. Everything you could need - but no phone (which we regard as a good thing!!)

With Glen Coe, Ballachulish, Ben Nevis and the Mamores are all within minutes' drive, Clachan Geala is a perfect base for enjoying the many outdoor activities that this part of the West Highlands has to offer.

Guest access

You will have access to the whole cottage (including garage where tumble drier is located).

Great location with lovely views. Darren respons quick and accurate. House is very well equiped, easy to find. Street noise from passing cars sometimes to hear but not disturbing at all. Great garden to sit and enjoy the surrounding. But take care of the miggets, so be prepared. Overall, would definitifly recommend it to everytone looking for a quiet place to stay with great view of the sun going down.

Lovely cottage, lots of room and has everything you need. The views are amazing and you can enjoy them at every mealtime facing the Loch. Beds are really comfy and the shower is good and hot. We're climbers and got a heavenly day bouldering in the Lost Valley. Getting mats up was a bit of an epic but totally worth it! Rain curtailed other outdoor plans but had 2 super days at the Ice Factor and one at Three Wise Monkeys. We sneaked in some lovely walks too. The cottage is really well equipped with generous details like dishwasher tablets. Lovely stay. Thanks so much.

Darren's property has loads of character, plenty of space and great views that easily replace anything on television! The light is forever changing on the mountains and loch. It is warm and well equipped in the kitchen as well as with maps, books and DVDs in the snug. The beach is a magical place and there is complete privacy all round. We found it a great base for trips to Oban, Fort William, Glen Coe, Glen Nevis, Mull, The Modiart, Fort Augustus and much much more.

Lovely well equipped cottage with comfortable beds, great views, easy access to Glencoe and lots of other walks. Darren was always easy to reach, if we had a question. lots of maps and guide books about the area. Big selection of books and videos and some games for rainy days (might happen in Scotland :-). We had a great time and highly recommend Darren's cottage.

This is a lovely cottage with fabulous views. The sunsets were amazing! A very comfortable cottage, cosy, and with everything you need. We came with our three kids and they had a great time in the garden and down at the loch. We were close enough to the Fort William mountain bike centre, which is the reason we came, but far enough away to make it feel like a country holiday. Perfect!
