This small double room (upstairs) is part of a 3 bedroom townhouse in Riccarton which is a 10min bus ride from the center of town. There are many bars, takeaways, and restaurants within walking distance and Hagley park is a 10 minutes walk away.
I also have a twin room available so you can check it out in another listing via my profile page.
No third party bookings.
The room is a small double room 3m x 3m. The room has a double bed, desk, chair, heater, small fan, and double wardrobe. Bedding and towels are provided. The bathroom is shared with myself and other guests in the house. This townhouse is in busy Riccarton, however, down a quiet driveway. So it is perfect for chilling out while you are travelling. The room gets the most afternoon sun. I live in the house also.
You will have access to unlimited wireless internet, TV, and have use of the kitchen, lounge and laundry. Tea and coffee will be available anytime.
Parking is free on the street
Other things to note
This is my own home that I am sharing. I work full time and do all the cleaning myself so I try my best to keep the place clean and tidy. I have 2 rooms on Airbnb within the house, so guest need to remember that the walls are thin and should be quiet in the evenings. If guests want sounds proof rooms, then a hotel would be a better option.
If guests are wanting super early check in or super late check out - extra charges may apply.
I am pretty chilled out but I do expect guests to respect that this is my home and not a hotel. Please leave the kitchen, bathroom and lounge in the way you find them. Guests must use the bathmats provided in order to keep the floor dry. Quiet times are between 10:30pm - 7am (this includes cooking and using the washing machine).
No third party bookings. Guests must book this room themselves and have an Airbnb profile. I live alone and like to know who I am sharing my home with.
Extra charges may apply if guests want super early check in or super late check out.

I moved home to Christchurch in December 2014 after 6 years away living in London and travelling around Europe, Africa, and Asia. I had used Airbnb as a guest while I was overseas and though it would be nice to do once I got home. I work in Health data management for one of the hospitals in Christchurch.
I am quite a sporty person and currently I play summer hockey on Thursday nights and cricket on Saturday afternoons. I am also always training for a half marathon! My next one the St Clair half marathon in May 2017.
