Alistair was a great, open and very friendly host, and made a point to meet us in person to show us around. He gave great tips for local area and responded immediately to a birthday question. Thank you! We traveled with two small dogs and loved the place. Luxury comfort and equipment met with stellar clean and functional living and bathroom areas. Felt at home here. We played the beautiful Tain Golf course, had a great dinner at Platform 1864 ( a breathtakingly redone-converted stationhouse)(try the haggis balls!!!), and walked the local beach and dunes. Will definitely recommend to friends and would return here in a heartbeat. Just bear in mind this IS indeed secluded and a car is needed to get around efficiently.

This Cottage has everything you want and need. We found it to be the perfect place to explore the highlands from. Just 10 mins away is Tain with supermarkets and restaurants and the Cottage itself is equipped with all essentials. Communication with the host was fast and easy - we would definiteley choose it again!

Swallow Cottage really is as nice as the photos show, a lovely clean modern house. We stayed for 4 nights when our daughter got married, a great place for the girls to get ready, lovely accommodation and surroundings.

You can't do a Holiday in Scotland especially are coming to Highlands without staying in this place. It has the best scenic beauty and completely away from any city. A place must stay and visit. Alistair was a perfect host to have managed everything from milk, to breads and eggs for the family so that we don't need to run around for basics after a long drive. Thanks and much appreciated.
