Sunny cabin set minutes away from 2 major ski resorts. Newly remodeled with a stainless steel full kitchen, 1 bath, 1 queen bedroom, as well as queen sofabed living room. Enjoy a fully loaded Keurig coffee maker, hot-cocoa under the stars in the hammock, books, games, picnic basket, horse shoes, and fishing poles for your enjoyment... Maybe even a glimpse of our local bear, pesky racoons, silly flying squirrels, and my favorite the BIRDS!
We call the cabin "The Little Bird Lodge" named in remembrance of a little bird who stole my heart and pretty much anyones who had met him. His eyes would light up while greeting guests and watching the blue jay out of the window of the main house.
A guest once told me that they get a sunny whimsical feeling here and many others have said it has a calm, healing effect. The children that visit have also said they enjoyed finding the little secret treasures I hide around the yard behind the cabin. It is somewhat quirky, and always sunny. It is a little place that is just perfect enough for a quick get away from everyday life.
Interaction with guests
We do live on the property in the detached main house with a lil doggie named Chevy. She might give ya a few woofs at check in because she is of course "The welcoming committee" of The Little Bird Lodge, although once she sees that you are not just a passerby she will shower you with kisses if you let her.
The main house is very close to the cabin, just far enough away for your privacy but close enough if you need anything. I try to interact with guests on an as needed basis and am very involved with my work and goals so most of the time a quick wave hello or quick pass by with the dog happens. With that being said I also absolutely love meeting my guests when they feel like it and hearing their stories, where they came from, what they are running away from, where they are off to next, etc.... It makes me love what I do.
Other things to note
Free Wifi, flat screen wifi capable televisions in both rooms, DVDs, Roku, games, fishing poles, kites, and a cozy hammock under the pine trees.
Wipe off your paws in the winter, and be careful not to leave food or trash outside for our local curious bear. Check in time is 2pm and out at noon. The key to your cabin will be on your deck in the blue mailbox upon your arrival, return the key to the mailbox during checkout.
Please park in the designated marked parking area and not on the street.
The cabin is set in a neighborhood setting so we appreciate it if you clean up after yourself and don't trash the place.

I have 1 pet who is considered my child at the moment... His name is Rico Suave' a green cheek conure bird who loves cuddling. When choosing to name the cabin I decided to call it "The Little Bird Lodge".... Because this little bird loves it in the cabin just as much as you will!
