Come enjoy a piece of Philadelphia history in a nearly 200 year-old Trinity row home! Located in the Washington Square West neighborhood, the house is within easy walking distance of the center city restaurants, historic area, and theaters.
Come enjoy a piece of Philadelphia history in a 19th century Trinity row home! Trinities, also known as "father, son, and holy ghost" houses, were small homes used by the working class craftsman of the era. Built in the 1830's, the house has three small floors connected by a spiral stair case. The house is located in a gated courtyard on a charming quiet Philadelphia side street.
This tiny but cozy house is perfectly sized for a couple, but can sleep four. The first floor is a fully equipped kitchen. The backdoor leads to a sunroom and a private backyard garden perfect for enjoying morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The second floor has a bathroom and small bedroom with a double futon bed. The third floor is the main bedroom with a queen futon bed and entertainment center.
A washer and dryer are available in the basement for your use. WIFI internet is included. There is a TV with Comcast cable and a DVD player on the 3rd floor. Towels and linens supplied.
Guests will have access to the entire house and its amenities. It is our home, so please treat it as it were your own.
Interaction with guests
We are renting the house while we are on vacation and will be unable to personally meet you. We will be available by telephone, email, and text, and will have a neighbor available for questions and emergencies.
Other things to note
Important: Please note that the spiral staircase is steep and may not be suitable for small children, disabled, or elderly persons.
Allergy alert: A cat and dog live her too!
Sleeping four requires doubling up on the two futon beds. The futons are comfortable but quirky, like futons often are.
There is no smoking in the house, backyard, or courtyard.
Please be respectful of my neighbors by not having any parties and making any excessive noise, especially after 10 pm.

Hi, my name is Pat and this is my wife, Jean. I love Philly, having moved here in 1989 to go to school and ended up staying 25 years! I work as a research scientist for NJ Health Dept, and do lots of volunteer work for an adaptive sports program for the disabled. Jean works at a local hospital, we were married after meeting in the neighborhood we live in- yes, i married the girl next door! I listed the trinity I own until we got a long-term renter, which is the source of our reviews. We are now Airbnb guests and have decided to host our house for the times when we travel. It is only a half block from my old house, so the reviews still apply. We hope to hear from you soon!
