Eric arrived at the apartment at the exact same time that I did. It was a bit hard to find at first as the AirBnB map did not put it on the map properly but after asking around with broken Spanish a couple of times for Calle Libertad it was quickly found as it is quite a tall building and up on a little hill. He then made sure that I had everything I needed and provided several ways to contact him should I require anything during my stay. I stayed here for almost 2 months and every time I asked for anything there was less than a 24h turn around time. The description of the place is accurate, however, it does not properly show the entire character of the apartment. The kitchen is half outside which is fantastic for having breakfast while looking out on the opposite hills in the jungle. The one downside to this is that everything gets a bit dusty but a quick wipe with a wet cloth and all is good. The beds were really comfortable and everything was super clean. Eric sends a cleaning lady once a week who does a great job. The apartment is about a 4 minute walk from the town center (El Espresso) in a very local part of town with several families who earn their money fishing red snappers every day. It was neat to see their small trucks filled with fresh fish every day I walked past their houses. In a touristy town I definitely appreciated being in a neighborhood with a more local feel to it. When/if I go back I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Eric's Casa was wonderful. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom which was quite large with a private bathroom. It was also right next to the kitchen and sink(with an amazing water filter). The condo is a few hundred feet from the sand and the more quiet part of the beach. Very convenient and clean. Quick walk to the town and many restaurants. The pizza place across the street was good too! As for Eric, he is the best host you could ask for. Knowledgeable, friendly, clean, prompt, and chill. I would definitely stay with him again and recommend him in the future!

We loved this unit - it was perfect for our stay in Sayulita. It was large for 2 people which we had, warm, comfortable and nice. Eric was very accommodating and kind. He answered all of our questions about getting around Sayulita and other things unrelated to the unit. We loved our time there!

We were staying on another property that Eric was managing when the area was hit with 4.5 inches of rain and we needed to be moved. Eric moved us to one of his properties and gave us an extra night free for our troubles.

Eric was great! He was there when I arrived at the property and gave me a quick tour of the place. We didn't get to stay in the apt. we booked as there was a problem with the fridge so Eric bumped us up to even better accommodations. This place is beautiful. There's iguannas in the trees, always a light breeze. Eric brought up a huge bottle of drinking water which lasted the whole week. You felt like you were experiencing real Mexico.

La casa de Eric nos proporcionó todo lo necesario para tener un estadía placentera. La casa tiene buen tamaño y suficiente espacio para acomodar a cinco personas. Definitivamente volvería a quedarme con Eric.

I grew up just outside of New York City, went to college in Albany, NY, and moved out to Crested Butte, Colorado to be a "ski bum" at the age of 23. After 15 years of "ski bumming" and building houses, working in construction, etc., I moved down here to Sayulita, Mexico, a magical beach pueblo. I do some property management, but mostly like to focus on surfing, yoga, and playing guitar.
