San Rocco is a walkers paradise. If like trekking on coastal and bush tracks this would be the ideal spot to base yourself. The bakery below can provide you with your basic needs and was great to enjoy a coffee. There are a variety of restaurants close by and spectacular views to enjoy. Parking is free but limited Monday to Friday and you required to relocate to a car park 500m away on weekends. All walking on paths involves lots of steps witch you may need to consider. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the San Rocco community.

We had a great time in Camogli which is not too far from Marcello's Family Summer house. Warm welcome by host picking us up to his place. Te bakery down stairs is amazing, our favorite is their chocolate croissant. We were able to do many water activities in Camogli, such as kayaking, rent a board, the local is very friendly and helpful. We were planning to go to Portofino (the famous one) as we spent there with our two young children and we like Camogli beach much better. The Gelato is so good and Ristorante Le Camoglise is our favorite local dish such as mixed fish and gnochi. Everything is great in Marcello's place. You could explore San Fruttuoso, Portofino, Piccollo by a boat 20 min away from his house. Thank you again for your hospitality and guiding us on our Summer memorable Holiday.

Marcello's home in San Rocco is a little piece of Paradise. San Rocco is perfectly situated for gorgeous day hikes and walks - we walked down to Camogli for dinner along the sea on the first night. Aromas from an unbelievable bakery downstairs fill the air as you wake up in the morning surrounded by breathtaking views of sea and mountains. The upstairs private terrace is amazing. The apartment was comfortable for us and our 3 children and was perfectly comfortable in early July without A/C (it was cool in the evenings in San Rocco). Marcello was welcoming, warm and patient in answering our questions and providing guidance (and maps!) for trails - we walked to Punta Chiappa and back to San Rocco via the Batterie - stunning views. If you love Liguria, you will love this apartment! Buon viaggio!

Marcello's place is a beautiful spot in the Portofino Park. It is ideal for a few days hiking, swimming and enjoying the best of Italy. The views from the apartment (incl rooftop terrace) are amazing. I would go back anytime!

This was an authentic holiday place for travellers who like to explore local culture and nature. Marcello communicated promtly and very friendly as well as his family. We were expected and greeted by the whole and lovely family and we received a gift - local typical bread with explanation how local people use it. Very nice as this is what makes the difference when foreigners travel in Italy. The flat corresponded perfectly the description and we enjoyed the unique position of the place with views from the house terrace to the country surroundings including fantastic view of the sea and mountains. At the same time it is a very calm place. There are great hiking places and small local beaches. Excellent authentic place! Very gladly to come back sometimes.

Thanks Marcello for letting us stay in your unique appartment. Enjoying diner with friends on the roof terrace, high on the hill of San Rocco with view on the snowy tops of the Alps, Camogli village and the Medditerenean sea. Waking up with the smell of the freshly baked foccacia and foccacino in the bakery below (the best we ever tasted). Summerholiday to perfection.
