Carola is a wonderful host, she is very kind and welcoming, always available if you require her help (we left the key in the apartment when we went out, and had to ring upstairs after 23:00).
The apartment is spacious, clean and located in a quiet area, it lies at a great and beautiful location with walking routes nearby (also a stunning viewpoint of the vally less than 5 minutes away). The apartment lies close to Reil and is actually located halfway the Mosel river. We stayed here for a whole week which left us with plenty time to explore this beautiful area.
Since the apartment is located halfway the Mosel, it meant that sightseeings were closeby in our opinion; only one hour drives by car tops (i.e. Burg Eltz, Cochem, Trier, Idar Oberstein). Of course, other 'worth to visit' places were located even closer, such as: Reil, Traben-Trabarch, Bernkastel, Geierlay Brücke and the Rodelbahn Triolago in Riol. The, in vineyard covered, area at the river with its charming villages is a beautiful sight and place to walk or tour by car.
Furthermore, Carola has a hobby: creating wine from their own vineyards. These wines are also available in the apartment for a cheap price (yes, we are Dutch..) to taste, drink and even buy for future use (we bought 8 winebottles to take with us after the stay), and yes, they are worth it!
We feel that we need to mention that, prior to booking the apartment, we were sceptical about this apartment. This was due to the small quantity of reviews. But do not get fooled or discouraged about the few reviews this beauty has! It has been a great experience, and we do not regret that we have chosen this apartment. All in all, we recommend that you stay here if you want the experience of the Mosel vally. We will definitely stay here again!
