My humble abode is close to Melbourne CBD, the Botanical gardens, South Yarra, Richmond, Prahran. Public transport is overly accessible with the bus right at your doorstep or South yarra train station and trams very close.

You’ll love my place because of the river views, the neighbourhood, the cute cafe behind the building and all the natural light in the apartment.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and families (with kids).

The space

Projector and laptop are supplied to make use of the Netflix account that I leave accessible ready to go on the laptop.

The sound system uses AUX, just hold the 'mode' button on the side once until the light turns green for AUX, or press it again for the white light which is for Bluetooth.

There is a gorgeous 30's style cafe out the back stairs of the building if you wanted a lovely spot for breakfast, after 12pm they bring out their lunch menu which changes every day. The Lawson grove cafe also is a small scale convenience store so perfect for last minute groceries.

Guest access

The laundry facilities are found on the first landing of the building.
I've left a small silver key on each of the two sets of keys found in the lock box. These facilities ask for $4 single one dollars for a wash and $3 single dollars for drying. If you don't want to pay for drying there is a clotheshorse in the apartment.

Interaction with guests

I am happy to have guests phone or text me.

Other things to note

The bus out the front of the building takes 10-15 minutes to get to the city and runs three times in an hour or otherwise South Yarra train station is up Darling Street on the right side of the building as you're leaving and takes 7 minutes to walk to and takes 7 minutes on the train to get to the city.

There is free parking with no restrictions on Caroline and Darling street which are both on either side of the apartment building. The free parking is only on one side of Caroline street which if you're facing the river is on the left side. And on Darling street runs mainly alongside the park.

Heating: Extremely efficient gas heater and also gas stove top, which both need a lighter to start them, you will find lighters next to the both of them.

A lot of mould on bathroom ceiling. Quite a few stairs down & up to get to unit...not recommended for old people. You can't necessarily park close to unit after 4pm. Once inside very nicely decorated, view from balcony spec.

Airiel was easy to communicate with. She answered any question I had via text in good time and helped solve any issues I had. Good location, easy walk or public transport to Chapel Street, Richmond etc or plenty of options to get to the city in 10-15 mins. The flat is an old style place but it’s nice and tidy with timber floors and large windows. The bed was nice and comfortable too. There is a guest computer and projector set up with Netflix in front of a cozy heater on the couch. Came in handy for a night in with the flu on my trip. The bedroom is facing onto a busy main road so there is constant traffic noise. Worth considering if you’re a light sleeper as I needed earplugs. Overall the place is tidy, has great character and has a nice homey feel about it.

A cute older art deco place with a beautiful view of the Yarra, great watching the people walking out sculling on the river before work. It's a bit noisy (lots of cars) so not good four people who are light sleepers but it didn't bother me at all. Very convenient to get to Chapel St, Richmond and the city
