In the heart of Paris on Ile St. Louis, minutes walk from Notre Dame cathedral and the trendy Marais area, this lovely three floor home nests comfortably at the far end of a private courtyard. Tempurpedic mattresses and the penetrating silence of the courtyard at night makes for an incredibly deep and revitalizing sleep. A hot shower, fluffy towels and all the essential comforts are waiting for you to wake up!
Our cozy home was designed and built in 1658 during one of France's earliest urban planning projects. The architect, Louis Le Vau, Louis XIV's architect of choice, is the creator of several famous attractions such as Versailles and the Louvre.
All three floors of our home are accessible. There is no roof access, however you can open up the windows and enjoy a breeze from the cobblestoned, ivy draped courtyard.
Interaction with guests
You will be welcomed home by my private chauffeur, who can also pick you up from the airport and take you back at the end of your stay (CDG - 45 Euros, ORLY - 35 Euros).
During your stay, my assistant will be available to answer your questions by phone or email.
Other things to note
The island is very comfortably stocked with pharmacies, grocers, bakers, cheese shops, wine stores and even a Michelin Star restaurant. Ile St. Louis is also the home of Berthillon, the legendary French ice cream maker. Tourists line the streets waiting for a few scoops! My personal favorite is Cafe St. Regis: the perfect place to grab a quick double espresso in the morning as well as some juicy escargot for lunch.
- Please be gentle and attentive to the house and its furnishings. All our personal items in the closets, or out, are not for guest use. Keep it green, please.
Hello there and welcome to my Airbnb page. My home on Ile St Louis is the epitome of comfort! I love how cozy it is, the simple furnishings and comfortable beds. Somehow, the house always smells of fresh bread and maple syrup. In the summer, the potted gardens in each bedroom sprout fresh herbs such as thyme and verbena and the singing little birds outside bring a cheerful country feel to the house.
For me, the most important thing is home. Home is where the heart is, home is where I recouperate and home is where I feel the safest and the happiest.
The next most important thing for me is food! I love food and will spend most of my time in my kitchen. Have a look at my cooking profile here:
Finally, I love my friends and family and I love to meet new people.
