Interaction with guests

We love and value the art of hospitality. We're happy to connect around the shared deck and chiminea fireplace on the property, or to let you enjoy your peace and quiet.

This is a nice and comfortable studio for 1 - 2 guests, which is basically a garage converted into a studio. There are many amenities provided in the apartment, almost like a home. There's a full kitchen with appliances and utensils, lots of lighting in the room, an open closet and several drawers to store things. It has its own private entrance and parking for 1 car, so guests an be completely independent. Curtis was nice and very flexible on the check-in and check-out times. He was prompt in responding to my queries and helping me out when I needed something. I wish the bathroom was a bit warm with a sink, but this may not be a problem in Seattle summers.

Curtis and Grace were fantastic hosts. I stayed at the Carriage House for 3 months and it has been my best Airbnb experience so far. Curtis is very quick at response and he always made sure that I had everything I needed. The apartment is specious, cozy, and clean. It is well equipped and decorated nicely. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is safe and close to green lake. There are grocery stores and shops nearby. I used the bus system everyday to get to downtown Seattle. The bus station is only a five minute walk away and takes around 40 minutes to get to Seattle. There are two parking spots available as well. I would definitely stay here again!

Curtis and Grace are very friendly and hospitable. Curtis met us on the day we arrived and made every thing ready out there. During the stay, both Curtis and Grace were very quick at response for the questions we had and also helped us in person. The house is very clean fully facilitated and nicely decorated. Overall we had a really good time of our stay at Curtis' house. We appreciate their hospitality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The space here is wonderful. I especially enjoyed playing albums on the old stereo console. It's a peaceful neighborhood within walking distance to Aurora ave where there are many restaurants. I was also able to walk to a CCP grocery store and cook some meals using the single burner hot plate. The bed was really comfortable and I slept well. Curtis was available for questions, etc., but I also had total privacy. I enjoyed walking the neighborhood to see how typical Seattle lives.

Even though Curtis wasn't able to meet us when we arrived, he stayed in touch with us and kept us informed about the house. The Carriage House was beautiful, it was clean and organized. It was more than what we expected. Thanks for having us, we enjoyed our stay.

Curtis was an incredibly hospitable host, communicating everything we needed to know to make for a smooth and easy stay at the Carriage House. The well-accommodated room was just what we needed, and the oatmeal and coffee left for us was the perfect breakfast. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Having lived in Hawaii, the San Juan Islands, Bellingham and Seattle, I love sailing, surfing, skateboarding, traveling with purpose, and spending time with my wife and two kids. While studying abroad I had the opportunity to be hosted by local families in various parts of Central America and Europe. Our family enjoys being able to extend the same kind of hospitality through Airbnb. We look forward to meeting you!
