Where do I even begin? Upon arrival, I was greeted by Franny, a family that was staying at the campground, two dogs, and a baby goat! After a brief introduction I then drove up to the actual campsite and met Lisa (a volunteer worker) and another camper. I was made to feel at home from the start. The community building and tents were as clean as could be given the outdoor country aspect. Plenty of bugs and insects but that's how nature works. I was there for the solar eclipse and almost everyone else staying there was too. The first night we all built a campfire and basically just chilled. The next day I went to see the eclipse with other guests. I can say I made legit friends even though I only stayed at Franny's for a day and a half. Everyone is incredibly nice and open minded, guests and hosts alike. Next time I am down in the Asheville area I will certainly be staying at Franny's! Though the sense of community was probably a bit heightened by the the fact that we were all there for the same purpose, I highly recommend staying here if you want an outdoor experience with less hassle than normal tent camping and the opportunity to meet amazing people!

I cannot begin to put into words what this little slice of heaven has meant to me. I found Frannys Farm on AIRBNB, and thought to myself...self... this looks like a good place to stay on a budget. I was slightly apprehensive because I am a younger female who was traveling alone, and would be camping by myself 6 hours from home. I pulled onto the drive for the farm and was immediately in love. Such a BEAUTIFUL setting, and was immediately greeted by one of the ladies on the farm, and a very sweet old pup who was a wonderful welcome committee. I made it to my camp site, and it was PERFECT! Very clean and well maintained. I felt completely safe and was still out in the woods enough that I was pleased with the seclusion. The camping sites sit atop the highest point on the farm and the view is breathtaking. The community building was clean and vey accessible. Everything you need to cook and keep food was there for you. Bathrooms and showers were very clean (which is usually not the standard for bath houses when camping). I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of meeting Franny and her husband while there, who spent a great deal of time with me talking about the farm and answering questions. Such excellent hosts and they are extremely knowledgeable, and willing to share. This place is truly a dream! I will absolutely be back to this farm!

Frances and Jeffs place was surreal. The drive out to the farm was beautiful and a short drive to hikes as well as downtown Asheville. The tent was perfect and spacious for us and our dog. Henry had a blast hanging with all the farm dogs as well as some of the fellow travelers pets. The bathrooms were exceptional if you are looking for a clean spot to get ready. We highly recommend!

There just aren't enough positive things to say about Franny's Farm!!! This place is a total gem! The scenery and location are absolutely beautiful and the staff were helpful! It's located about 20 mins from downtown Asheville and the drive is so serene. There are 6 "glamping" sites which are wooden platform with a canvas tent. They also have 2 eco-cabins. On the premise there are 2 shower rooms, a bathroom, fire pit, community area, parking, a couple hammocks, event space, even yoga with goats! Plus, the phenomenal views and fresh air. It's really the best Asheville has to offer to really enjoy nature with some creature comforts!

The Tacy family is operating a "beyond organic" farm with heirloom fruit, herb & vegetable gardens and free range heritage chickens & turkeys, sheep, goats, bunnies, a donkey and bee hives! It's all great because our farm partner takes care of everything while you get to relax on…
