A unique experience ridgetop CAMPING on Franny's Farm with gardens, chickens, sheep, goats, 2 pigs & a donkey. An off-grid "Community Building" has a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms & private shower rooms. The kitchen has a coffee maker, stove, refrigerator, pots/pans, utensils and all you need to cook. Bring beddings, gear, flashlight and your sense of adventure & enthusiasm. Lots to see & do on the farm & close by- just 20 minutes to downtown Asheville.

The space

The Eco-Center is a unique approach to travel and lodging. There are separate listings for the 2 eco-cabins. There are multiple campsites and all share the community building which houses the kitchen, bathrooms and shower house. Kitchen is new and fully equipped.

Guest access

We encourage guests to familiarize themselves with all the farm has to offer. Visit the animals and by all means give them a carrot and they'll love you forever. Tour the gardens and see what is growing. There may even be the freshest ingredients you can harvest from the garden or purchase from the farm store. Walk in the pollinator garden and on the Moonshine Mary Trail. Gathering around the fire pit seems to be favored by all. You can just relax and star gaze.

Interaction with guests

We love to interact with guests but also very much respect your privacy and are busy caring for the gardens, livestock and all the happenings on the farm. So, feel free to approach us or our farm manager with questions. We also have the underground insider recommendations for the best of everything Asheville and the surrounding area has to offer- from hiking, tubing, biking to restaurants like Indian, sushi, Mexican and those with a certain vibe. And we know music and the venues!

Other things to note

Glampers, please bring all appropriate gear, flashlights, sleeping bags and supplies. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need- pots/pans, utensils, coffee maker, stove and refrigerator. All you need is your food, spices and coffee.

My boyfriend and I "glamped" at site #5. We brought a tent and sleeping bags and could not have been happier with our experience. Beautiful location, and a short commute to downtown Asheville. Other campers were very friendly, and we had fun with everyone around the campfire at night. Kitchen and bath facilities were a great bonus too.

We traveled to Tennessee to visit Asheville and really enjoyed the glamping at the farm. We got the busyiness of the city while downtown but got a calm place to rest at night. We also loved getting to see all the animals!

This place is awesome. I stayed in one of the "glamping" tents which is a canvas sided tent with a nice wood platform base. Sleeping was cool and comfortable with a camping air mattress, sheets, and light sleeping bag, even in mid august. The community house is right next door and has pretty much anything you might need. Beautiful farm, friendly people, and i met some great folks staying there. Wish i could have stayed longer. Highly recommended, and i hope to return!

Worth it just for the mountain top view at night and at dusk. We had a great stay and everyone there was courteous and kind. Frances was super helpful. The tent site was very good. Nice new wood base and canvas tent. Just bring a sleeping pad&bag or an inflatable mattress and something fun to drink and eat around the fire at night!

We couldn't have asked for a better camping experience at Franny's Farm. They were very responsive prior to our trip and accommodated our late arrival. The campsite was clean and the view down into the valley at dawn was worth the stay alone. 10/10

The Tacy family is operating a "beyond organic" farm with heirloom fruit, herb & vegetable gardens and free range heritage chickens & turkeys, sheep, goats, bunnies, a donkey and bee hives! It's all great because our farm partner takes care of everything while you get to relax on…
