Joaos place was a little home away from home..secluded yet great location to explore the area. The cottage has everything you need to relax for a few days & the little courtyard is a bonus. Joao was helpful with local advice & always there with a quick response. The local winery suggestion was a highlight to our visit!! Great stay & would thoroughly recommend!

Communication with Joao was OK - house (bit musty) was big enough for our family and everything was available. Terrace = ++++++ and the neighbourhood is very quiet. Recommendation !

An excellent location we used as a base for exploring Alentejo by car. Quiet rural setting, a very enjoyable, beautiful ride to Evora or any number of small Medieval towns around. Clean spacious house. A fantastic little garden with a lemon tree and a view of the fields around the village. The host is very friendly and accessible. Thanks, João

Before and during the stay at Casa da Tia Luisa was the communication with João very good. The apartment is situated in quite street but central in the small village of Montoito. The house with a small garden is arranged lovely. We enjoyed the stay and we can fully recommend the apartment. Thanks a lot to our host.

We really enjoyed our stay It as special for Tia Luisa to tell us about the place - all in Portuguese (which we were able to understand, even though we did not know much of that language). This well-appointed home had everything we needed, except no WiFi. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed having breakfast and supper on the back patio. All of the local townsfolk that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The only down side was that we were without cooking gas and hot water from late one evening until after breakfast the next day. All was fully restored by the time we returned from our outing in the late afternoon. This spot proved to be a great location to see much of the surrounding area. We wish that we had arranged to stay longer.
