We stayed here for two nights. Overall, the experience was just ok. There was no communication prior to our arrival. I left several messages to the host to confirm our arrival and to verify where to pick up keys etc, but no one returned my messages or calls. I learned upon arrival that the person that had been in charge of this had quit just the day before. Nonetheless we arrived and found the location with no problem. It is perfectly located right in the middle of the town center so you can't miss it. We arrived a bit late, about 7 pm or so, and can't really say we were given a warm welcome. The owner/manager seemed flustered and mentioned something about there having been some "overbookings" to my husband. He mentioned to me that his staff had quit, rambled a bit about what had happened, and that's why none of my calls had been returned. He seemed a bit irritated and vented a bit. Ok that's understandable. Stuff happens. He quickly just showed us to the room and gave us the key. He didn't really say much more except asked me if I had already paid. I said yes my card was charged the day I booked it. In terms of the room, it was smaller than I expected but I guess for the price and location you can't beat that. It has an AC and a shower, a couple of towels and that's pretty much it. The bed is hard and uncomfortable. Not much more to it. Based on the prior reviews I wasn't expecting much more either. Also, as the other reviewers mentioned, the music is very loud since the rooms are right behind a bar. However, I do take cleanliness very seriously especially when it comes to bugs and filth. It wasn't until the second night that I realized there was a huge dead cockroach behind the toilet on the floor, and I also saw a smaller live one in the bathroom. That grossed me out. I don't think we'll be back here. We'd rather pay more and get one of the hotels in the area that is clean and where we can feel more welcomed.
