Features and amenities include: a full kitchen with gas stove-top cooking an oven and all conveniences; linen & towels; gym/ pool/ tennis court; Netflix (as well as access to other media apps); high speed wireless internet with unlimited data download - and landline phone with unlimited free local calls; complimentary car park suitable for small to medium sized vehicles; and a great library.
Occasionally on Friday and Saturday nights there may be a little foot traffic which could disturb light sleepers. There is also the usual shared building noise you would normally expect with inner city apartment living.

Interaction with guests
We’re always happy to take a call or come in and fix/ sort something out. We also provide guests with a welcome note which tells them all about the area and troubleshoots any issues they may have staying in the 'Carlisle.'
Other things to note
* Check out is by 10am on the last day of booking. Check in is 2pm.
* You can request different times and we will do our best to accommodate them, but please note, we usually have full occupancy so this may not be possible if we have a same day departure and arrival booked. However we normally should be able to store your luggage while we get your apartment ready.
* If you are arriving early and definitely want to get in to the apartment right away we recommend that you book the night before.

This is a one bedroom apartment, with a single bed off the study area. A door separates this sleeping area from the main bedroom, with separate access to the bathroom.
The secure car park is suitable for small to medium sized cars only.
We provide all linen/ towels and all kitchenware, NETFLIX and free to air TV.
We don't stay in the apartment with you - it's all yours!
You are most welcome to use everything you find in the kitchen: juice, tea, fruit, coffee, milk and cereal. We also leave you all the essentials, such as toilet paper, soap, Shampoo/ Conditioner, dish-washing powder/ liquid, laundry powder - to help you settle in.
There's just one other rule - shoes off in the apartment. Thanks!

Hi, I'm Peter, an actor based here in Auckland. I also work in Australia - Melbourne is my second most favourite city! My other passion is teaching acting, and I also do occasional travel writing. I have three young children (pictured a few years ago with me in Thailand) and a wife, Nic. We’ve owned two apartments in the historic Carlisle building in Auckland for ten years now, and when we can we stay the odd night to get a break from the kids, so we know the building and area well. We can thoroughly recommend the apartment and tell you all about the area if you'd like. We're hands on and helpful and only 30 minutes drive away: nothing is too much trouble.
