A very central rental apartment in a fine Georgian house, built in 1791 and 2 minutes walk from Princes Street on safe, well lit street.
The whole of the lower ground floor of this handsome Georgian town house has been made into a modern 3 bed self catering apartment by the owner who lives above. She is very happy to advise on places to visit and things to do.There is a king, a double and a single bedroom, large living/dining area and patio doors to a small courtyard at the rear. Dishwasher/washing machine/tumble dryer/microwave and Aga style cooker. Shower room with separate WC (no bath). Price inclusive of all bedding/towels and utilities.
Around the corner is North Castle Street and then a short stroll takes you to the main shopping thoroughfare of Princes Street with Edinburgh Castle straight ahead. From here you can walk to virtually anywhere in Edinburgh and take time to explore, art galleries, museums, the cobbled streets of the 'Old Town, or the Georgian symmetry of the 'New Town'. There are masses of places to eat and drink around about, and a supermarket just up the road.
Parking is metered on the street. It's easiest to get about without a car.
A key is available for access to the delightful spacious private gardens opposite, where you can enjoy a few moments tranquility in the centre of this beautiful capital city.
The apartment is priced for up to 5 people staying using 3 bedrooms. The Edinburgh Festival in August is priced separately by the week (£1400). Any queries, just ask.
I also have a king sized room with private bathroom (with large shower and bath) on the ground floor of the house, which is available on a bed and breakfast basis. This may be more suitable if you are a couple only, or can be added to the basement apartment to create accommodation for up to 7 with two bathrooms.
The apartment is accessed via outside stairs from street level.There is a handrail, but this may not be suitable for the very aged or infirm and child buggies will have to be carried up and down.
A key to the private gardens just across the road is available on request. A large double room on the ground floor with private bathroom is also available on the Air BnB site.

I live in the house above the flat, so I am on hand to welcome you on arrival and advise on any questions you might have then or during your stay.
Other things to note
Tea/coffee/mik/juice and a light breakfast are provided for your first morning. If you would like me to pick up extura groceries in advance of your arrival just send me a list and settle the bill when here.
The flat is very clean and well furnished. No pets allowed. No smoking inside, but there is a bench outside the front door where you can sit under cover. Please pick up your butts! If you are sitting out in the back garden after dark in the summer, please keep the noise down as it carries up to other bedrooms at the back of the house. Guests are expected to take suitable care and leave the premises tidy. Turn out lights when you are out.
