I greatly enjoyed my 3-month stay with George, and was sorry when I left. George is a very welcoming and considerate host. I felt completely at home in his apartment. The location of George's Airbnb is excellent, being in close proximity to Windsor train station and tram routes to the CBD, St Kilda, Prahran, Elwood and Richmond. I appreciated being walking distance to the cafes, shops and bars of Carlisle St and Chapel St. The bedroom is a more than adequate size, and its futon is comfy. (The rotating Dyson Hot+Cool heater works superbly.) Also, the room contains a small table at which I was able to work. George's kitchen is large, and I enjoyed cooking my meals there. Having relocated to Melbourne, I intend to keep in contact with George.

I don't know how to start, but George is amazing! he is a very helpful and considerate host and a charming person. He even took me on a trip to the CBD to show me around & also took me out for a cake. His place is kept warm and clean. it's also in the best location right on Chapel Street. It's only a few minutes walking to the wonderful shops, cafes on Chapel. If you want to go into the city or to other areas, public transportation is also very close - there is a tram stop right outside his apartment and Windsor train station is about a 7 minute walk. If you are a Muslim and looking for a mosque there is a one near you in Union st. I'll miss George and of course sharing coffee together but of course I'll be in touch.

George is the most warm, polite, kind and gracious host you could ever meet. He makes himself available for assistance and to share his local knowledge (take him up on his offer to go on a walk around town with him, he will show you so many nice places!). He is a very interesting and intelligent fellow to have a chat with, and you should definitely take the opportunity to cook and share a meal with him during your stay. George's apartment is surprisingly spacious, and extremely well-kept. There is wonderful artwork everywhere you look. The room is cosy, neat and with plenty of space for all your things. It's very quiet and peaceful, yet so close to the fun of Chapel Street. Very close to public transport (tram is right outside your door, train is a short and pleasant walk). You will have plenty of time and space to yourself when you need to unwind. The kitchen is fairly roomy and a lovely environment to cook. Highly recommended!

George is really the nicest person i met in Melbourne. His house can also be called as art gallery,I felt like I'm in some museum. Room was very neat and cozy. George is very helpful, he gave me his phone on my first day to make calls,he took me and my friends to a city tour,he helped me purchase by cycle and he also helped me to know Melbourne better. I have to say he is a person with big heart. Overall this is the best place with perfect host you could ever find in this part of the world.

I wouldn't even know where to start with writing a review here. George is an incredibly kind and giving man, despite only living with him for 2 months I feel like he gave me the best experience he possibly could and I really enjoyed his company during my time here. Would highly recommend George's on Chapel to anyone! Perfect location close to everything and a great living space for two people. P.s he makes great salads which are sometimes shared... reason enough alone to stay here!

The best thing about George's place is that it comes with a George. In some ways it seems strange to read the reviews below, and learn that he was a friend to so many other guests before me. But that is George - he seems so effortlessly to make his guests feel welcome and feel valued. He will look after you and make time to get to know you. If you're good, he may even invite you out for lunch. I cannot add too much to what has been said below already. It was a warm and comfortable apartment, close to shops and transport, and I found it the perfect quiet refuge to explore beautiful Melbourne. Thanks again George!

I will definitely return. That says it all. A pleasant walking distance to the beach in one direction (with the Kilda Botanical gardens on the way), to the fabulous Chapel Street shops and Prahran market in another. A choice of trolleys within 5 minutes of the front door take you anywhere else you want. Gently aged describes the premises quite well. What should also be said is that the place is spotless, which to me was much more important. Decorated with George's whimsical sense of humour and designer's eye, tiny details will continue to surprise you even after several days of living there. George's generosity went will beyond the norm. If he has the time, do make it your business to get to know him. You won't be sorry! Note that the apartment is two flights up with no elevator.
