Watercolours is a spacious, sunny beach house centrally situated in Cape St Francis…less than 200m from the swimming beach and the famous ‘Seals’ surf spot.
It is just as close to the restaurants, shop and nature trails.
With all the mod cons, this self-catering house is designed for a totally laidback holiday…there is heaps of space for everyone to do their own thing and a central living/dining area for happy together times.
The house has 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (m.e.s) downstairs and a loft dormitory upstairs for the kids. There are also two outside hot showers for rinsing off the sand and wetsuits.
A large sea-view front deck, for chilling with a book, and a braai lapa on the other side, ensures you can braai whatever the weather.
The beach is wide, white and pristine and the water clean and sparkly.
Our village is surrounded by 132 hectares of fynbos nature reserve with marked hiking trails and a chance to see buck, porcupine, bushpigs and other wildlife and birds.
So for the fitness freaks there’s plenty of place to surf, canoe, run, hike, fish and cycle.
A table-tennis table, dartboard, games, puzzles and book selection solve the bad-weather-day problem.
The house is let as one unit
Interaction with guests
We live in the village and are always available for suggestions on what to do and see and to solve any problems you may have.
Other things to note
Watercolours is also ideal for a winter stay…fewer people, lower rates...bigger surf, whale watching and cosy evenings around the indoor fireplace.
We are a semi-retired, South African couple from the idyllic village of Cape St Francis, Eastern Cape.
We have 2 lives in London and the other in Switzerland.
We love photography, surfing, hiking, cycling, canoeing. We travel frequently (locally and abroad). We love all kinds of music and can't do without good coffee!
We also have a self catering guesthouse in the village (Watercolours) that is listed on airbnb.
