Charmful and yet simple & clean apartment for 4 people. Front view to street, overlooking lots of green from one of Rio´s mountain. The apartment is located at a cul-de-sac little street. With 1 living room, 3 bedrooms,kitchen and 1 bathroom. Fans in all rooms, decorated in art noveau style. Very quite at night offering transportation 15 min to Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, 10 min. to downtown Rio. Laranjeiras has two carnival bands and they parade through the main street stopping at Praça Sao Salvador 5 min walking from the apt where you can sit in local bars and observe how the locals have fun! Supermarket, banks and lots of transportation available. Subway 10 min. walk to Largo do Machado Plaza. You will find a Compaq netbook, Wifi, Internet, Cable TV, with international channels. It is a 32" HD television and you can follow the local events in the Brazilian channel 204 (Globo TV), You will find towels and linen, cutlery and dishes. Just bring your personal belongings. It is warm during Carnival so do not forget your bermudas, light clothing, sandals and bikinis. You also may wish to see the main Carnival parade downtown but you will need specific reservations for this purpose. The use of an agency is highly recommended.
Keeping the place clean is a must. There will be a cleaning fee of 130 reales to clean the place after your stay. There will be a a safety deposit of 400 which will be refunded upon verification of the Inventory List which will be found in the apartment. There is carbage collection three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Plastic bags will be available for this purpose in the service area. The bag shoud be left at the night before collection days at the entrance of the apt by the steps. Careful handling of the washing machine is expected from the guests.

I am a senior citizen and worked for 15 years at both UNICEF-Rio and New York. I am Brazilian but also have an American Passport. Besides Portuguese, my mother tongue, I speak French, English and Spanish being able to answer calls in those languages. I am very organized and a natural hostess with many friends both in Rio and New York. My hobbies are listening to music, enjoying pictures and reading books. I prefer to live away from big cities enjoying the the quietness of rural areas. I love dogs and have 2 mix dauchsunds.
