This is a perfect spot for a SF home base. Next door to Golden Gate Park, Buses and Muni not far, Geary street a short walk to food, drinks and more. Very comfortable home with nice touches to make it unique and an enjoyable stay. Excellent communication and very accommodating and hospitable.

Marcella was very welcoming and accommodating. Checking in and out was easy. Space was as advertised and perfect for our needs. Close to Golden Gate park - a nice, quiet sleepy neighborhood and a quick bus ride or uber car away from the more central SF neighborhoods. Backyard and easy parking was a nice bonus, too! Overall, a nice stay.

We very much enjoyed Marcella's house, which was tastefully and comfortably furnished with its own garden and garage. It was conveniently located not further than two and a half blocks to three bus lines going to the city centre. A well stocked grocery store is also nearby. Marcella was very responsive to all our questions and answered them promptly and enthusiastically. On our arrival everything was set up for us, including a bottle of wine and snacks. An excellent place to stay in a pleasant neighbourhood in San Francisco.

Marcella and Tyler were really engaged throughout the entire experience. Their communication regarding logistical details and timing was solid, and they greeted us warmly at the door to give us a tour of their home before they left town for a few days. If we had any questions during our stay they were very responsive. They offered us the use of their stellar vinyl record collection, bikes, surfboards and wetsuits. The house has fine woodwork and furniture throughout, with a long, well crafted dining room table that's hard to forget. We had chocolate chip pancakes around it one morning! The back patio/garden area is a gorgeous place to sit and reflect with a cup of coffee in the morning or gather at night with a few friends and a bottle of wine to tell stories under the lights they've strung up from the house. Their location offers easy access to the bustle of the rest of the city but you're firmly situated within the peace and quiet of the Richmond District. And of course, Golden Gate Park is just a couple blocks away and the Presidio isn't very far at all so there are some really nice walks to take. I'd say as a space it has a very tranquil, meditative, and restorative vibe that makes for a great place to come home to after a day of exploring the city. A perfect base camp to be reenergized in.

The host was very helpful and communicative and really made an effort to be sure we were happy. The listing was as expected. The house and garden were decorated with a good taste and there were everything one needs, even bicycles. The Golden gate park was within walking distance and the seaside with beatiful beaches within a short bike ride. However, because of the famous Fog of San Francisco we were not able to use the garden and beach as much as we hoped. There are several shops and restaurants within walking distance, however the closest were mainly chinese. There is a great playground with sportsfacilities (tennis, basketball...) within a short walk. The place is great for adults and families with children.

I'm a New York transplant who feel in love with San Francisco my first trip out when I was 12 years old. Fast forward many years later and I am happy to call this beautiful city my home. Today I teach middle school science and love working with adolescents. In my free time, I love to get out and explore the city, rock climb, and have dinner parties with friends.

My husband, Tyler, is also a teacher, as well as an artist, avid surfer, musician and all around project guy. In 2016 we welcomed our daughter into the world and love getting outside with her and providing her with new opportunities to explore her world. She also provides us with plenty of inspiration to keep working on our backyard and make inviting play spaces for her, most recently adding a lawn.

We love to travel on our breaks, which is what brought us to Airbnb, which we use both as travelers and as hosts during our school breaks. Our favorite things about Airbnb is getting to experience a home away from home, connecting with people from all over the world and discovering neighborhoods off the main tourist routes, and inviting guests to discover our quiet pocket of San Francisco in the Richmond.
